These kids enrolling early are getting told all sorts of things. Dak said last night that he was visiting LSU now because of the uncertainty of all the other coaches. The mad hatter was all up in his ear last night.

is taking a visit to LSU and things are "crazy". I am sure the LSU coaches are in his ear saying Mullen is leaving.

Don't copy and paste the article.
If he's wavering because of all the "Mullen to school X" stuff then Mullen can solve it really quickly by releasing a statement saying he's not leaving. If Dak has always wanted to go to LSU then he'll be gone anyway.

My hope is that he like the offense we run more than the one LSU runs but right now he has a better shot at getting championships playing for LSU.

Prescott, Mullen Leaving?, Cam is FREE, this **** sucks -- i'm starting to feel like the last 2 years have been just a TEASE - i might just go to sleep for a few years and pray that things are okay when i wake up.

Or at least accept our burnt offering of 7 tons of juicy jumbos and come on over to our side for this one.

and stricklin said he was at home sick yesterday...

/just because a blogger says mullen is #1a doesn't mean he is on miami's list

Hopefully he will be like some of these guys that we offer early and commit early and stick with us because we were the first ones that gave him a shot and believed in him when no one else did. He seems like a kid that would not automatically decommit without talking to Dan or his recruiter first. I believe we can keep him with the offense we run and the success we had this year, and Dan's success in the past.

I dont blame him for taking visits, I probably would too.

if he gives mullen a raise and then miami goes over the top, don't we lose to money ... which he said wouldn't be the issue

that Mullen won't be here for the long haul. Might stay this year, but next year this time? No doubt, our competition is using that line.

He has the deal to raise Mullen's pay in place...Mullen has got to stop all this or it will continue- if it's hampering my recruiting, and my *** was staying, I'd be emphatically telling the media I'm staying...but he hasnt done that

Whats going on is Mullen's doing

Now, I have no idea if his HS coaches are in his ear about LSU, but considering that is the case with about 90% of the LA recruits, its a fairly safe bet.If they really were looking out for the kid they would steer him to MSU due to the offense fitting his talents. Its my understanding that Dak is a run first QB, that has a good arm. That is what Mullen's offense needs. LSU's offense requires a more traditional drop back passer.

Why these coaches don't actually try to help these kids go to programs that fit their talents is beyond me. The only rational reason to steer him to LSU is if he wants to live in LA after he graduates. Then it makes sense to go to LSU to have thousands of LSU almuni eager to help you out once you graduate. I've said the same thing about kids that live in MS. If you don't make it to the pros and you want to live in MS, what do you think is going to open more doors for you, having played for Tennessee or having played at MSU or Ole Miss. Its a no brainer.

Mullen is the only one who can stop this crap. Hopefully the extension isn't quite done yet and we will offer it to Coach Mullen in the very near future.

Even if he is keeping his options open. All coaches do it. Do what it takes to keep the recruits happy.

he isn't getting bad pub right now...

if he says he is not leaving and leaves... the media will eat his *** alive.

all he needs to do is tell dak look hang with me, this is great for the program... every recruit in the nation is hearing how dan mullen is the best coach out there and then he comes out and says, I am staying at MSU ...if he is staying at MSU, he needs to meet with Miami and turn them down... say something like I talked with Miami, but Starkville, MS gives me the best place to win.

also, if he is looking to leave ...he is doing what he needs to right now and STFU... nobodys business but his familys at this moment.

Smart kid. However, I wouldn't call Miles the most secured and stable HC in the country either. Crazy fan base + uncertainty in Michigan could mean Miles is gone in a year or less...

If so that's nuts. Most LSU fans would love to have a good reason to get rid of Miles due to his in game management decisions driving them crazy. If the TN and FL games had not been pulled out of the fire this year and LSU had gone 8-4 rather than 10-2 I think his seat would already be pretty warm. But beyond all of that, his handling of QBs lately has been atrocious.

If Dak is keeping LSU warm because our HC situation is unstable, then he must think Miles is sticking around for awhile. That's a pretty ambitious assumption.

He's not leaving the SEC nor the talent he can recruit to LSU. And while alot of delusional fans ***** and moan, he has won at least 10 games in 4 of his 6 seasons. And LSU is going to be better next year than they were this year, with a more favorable schedule (Fla, Auburn, and UPig at home)

Miles will be at LSU another 4 years minimum

He is a QB that happens to be a great athlete, not an athlete just playing QB because his team needs him there. He fits both types of offenses and would excel in both due to his ability to run the football. His combination of throwing and running would put him as the best on our roster, as far as just his ability to do both. We really need to get this guy as he could be a potential 3 yr starter for us. He is a QB that would fit in any offense not just a spread QB. We have to make sure he gets to campus and not down there.

ughh...what about the millions that are being set aside for the stadium expansion....what about the recruits that are left wondering where they should commit....what about the atheletic dept trying to replace him at the last minute with another quality coach .... how can you say this isonly his families' business ??

I agree very much with this. MSU is part of his family right now...... I would not hate him if he left but I would feel hurt and these rumors need to either be squashed or come to be....
