There's no doubt Bost not playing early hurts us but to claim Benock is our best player over Dee Bost is just idiotic. Until you back down from that, you are a dumbass.
Well then consider this my backing down so we can drop this (I ain't wanting to look for a new username). I know Dee is tons better than Benock. Hell, Stevie Wonder can see that. I even said in my original post that Benock sucks. My post was half-serious and half tongue-in-cheek. The intent of my post was in the context of when we play a game in Hawaii and Dee is sitting in Starkville, he ain't our best player. He could be Michael <17>ing Jordan and he can't help us win when he is in Starkville and the team is in Hawaii. Renardo can't help us win when he is in Starkville and the team is in Hawaii. Renardo can't help us win when he is on the bench for the first half against Alabama. Ravern can't help us win when he is suspended for a game. When Tom Brady tore up his knee a few years ago, Matt Cassell became the Patriots BEST QB (even better than Brady because Brady couldn't walk). I blame Ravern's suspension for academics on Ravern. I blame Renardo's three suspensions on Renardo. And yes, I blame Dee's two suspensions on Dee. To answer your question, when Dee and Benock are both on the court, Bost is clearly a much better player. Hands down. Let's just call it a truce and move on.

But it still won't change the fact is that he spoke the truth and we'll continue to run the dreaded no motion offense. Stans runs 2 plays - the index finger in a circular motion followed by the closed fist. And on D he runs the flat clap. Seriously, haven't you ever wondered why our guys shoot so many 3s from 6 feet behind the line? It's because that's the only open shot they'll get in this system.
Live and die by the 3 ball........

I don't think the players we have are any different than the types of guys that are playing anywhere else. The difference is how they are being coached and controlled.

We don't have these problems on the football team, which has about 5 times more players on it... Why? Because Mullen doesn't suck at coaching, and he has control over his team, not because all the football players are "stand up citizens".

I put 100% of this on the coach. We have good player, after good player, after good player (I could go on forever) transfer from this program. It is totally unbelievable that Stansbury is still our coach. The players see it, but a lot of the fans still don't.

there is no way a senior should be talking **** about a coach he has played with for 4 years. I agree - the blame should be on Stansbury as much as the players. The players should keep things in house but at the same time - Stansbury needs to run a program where this type of action doesn't go unpunished.

Does anyone else notice that when the ball gets thrown to Ravern, it NEVER and I mean ABSOLUTELY NEVER comes back out? I don't care if he is triple teamed, he's throwing up a shot.

to point out that when players are suspended then they are not the best players on the floor.

Wow! My simple mind could never have derived something as complex as that.

Thank you for allowing me to be enlightened by your wisdom.

(players and coach), I can sympathize and criticize.

In my 10th grade year, our coach started the four seniors on the team and one junior; all because of who their parents were. I, along with the rest of the scrubs, rode the pine during the games, despite regularly playing the first team evenly during the practices. The coach made few, if any, substitutions. Three seniors were hotheads and we went into every game wondering which one was going to be the first to start a fight. Two of the seniors threw a game one night, just because they wanted to see what would happen. Their actions were blatant and obvious to anyone familiar with our team and the game of basketball. They even laughed about it in the dressing room before practice the next day. Nothing happened. The coach did nothing. The fact thatwe won 33% of games that season reflects poorly on our competition.

Over the next two seasons, the coach didn't change the way he coached, nor did he come up any brilliant offensive schemes. We were not great, but we won ~ 67% of our games due mainly to our desire and effort during practices, post-practice individual sessions in the gym, off-season sessions(no coach allowed), an absence of egos, and playing with a sense of desperation inevery game.

Stans is lacking in a number of areas. That's a fact. But I have no patience for complaining players whose on-court performance reflects a lack of effort, a lack of individual preparation, a lack of knowledge of the game's basic fundamentals, a lack of understanding theteam concept, a lack of positive leadership, a lack of respect for their teammates and coaches, and a lack of gratitude. The lack of these qualities will cost them throughout the rest of their basketball-playing days as well as the remainder of their lives.
