So it begins. He is right, though. When was the last time we attempted to get Ravern open by running a set play for him? We never use screens to free open our shooters. Stans just hopes Bost can drive and kick it out to someone who will be standing at the three point line twiddling their thumbs.

*edited to add that according to Locke, Sidney retweeted Ravern's tweet. There is no question that the inmates are running the asylum.

If he was hustling and showed he truly cared during the game then I could take his complaints more seriously. Stans does suck though.

It is very clear that Stans just doesn't care. He just doesn't or they just don't respect him AT ALL. They give him the giant middle finger with every action.

1) Bench every starter except Dee. Play the crackers if you have to. I don't care how ugly it gets. If we are going to lose, we might as well lose with a little dignity. The only players that see the court are the players that hussle and rebound. If anyone bitches, they are off the team. Drastic times call for drastic measures.

2) Resign.

I'd just go ahead and kick Ravern off....this team isn't going anywhere and if Stans wants to come back next year he's going to have to change the attitude this team has.

But it still won't change the fact that he spoke the truth and we'll continue to run the dreaded no motion offense. Stans runs 2 plays - the index finger in a circular motion followed by the closed fist. And on D he runs the flat clap. Seriously, haven't you ever wondered why our guys shoot so many 3s from 6 feet behind the line? It's because that's the only open shot they'll get in this system.

These fools are classified as student athletes in name only. There's nothing even remotely studious about these wastes of space, mass and oxygen. They can all go to hell and take bury with them.

how lucky they are to be playing SEC basketball. It's a shame that they have to go public with their problems. Why not talk to the coach if you have a problem? </p>

but quite frankly it doesn't matter anymore. It's kind of a ***** thing to do on Ravern's part. But hey, that's Ravern. And this time he's right. Stans has no control over this team, no respect from these players, and no philosophy on record to explain how this problem will be solved.<div>
</div><div>Our inconsistency equates to a lack of focus and interest, probably from uninspiring practices and smoking too much pot. We play bad defense and foul a lot. We don't crash the boards like we used to. All of Rick's positive trademarks are gone. We have one thing to lean on... potential. And that ain't gonna cut it.</div><div>
</div><div>I'm so tired of this ****. If Stansbury is fired this season it's probably for the best. Unless things change by season's end, how will next year be any different? What a waste of talent that would be.</div>

We don't hustle, play defense, or rebound. All these factors combined with the fact that no one on this staff knows how to run an offense. I was leaning to letting Stans stay for one more year but getting new assistants but this whole deal wishes we could get someone else now.

The main reason is b/c people like Ravern, Dee, and Sidney (maybe others) who know the game can see that Stans isn't a good coach. Of course they shouldn't be acting like idiots via twitter, but it is clear to everyone with any basketball knowledge that Stansbury doesn't know the game on offense.

He has always tried to discipline players, but at the end of the day they see through his lack of ability. Its like at my job. I'm an engineer by academics and an operations manager in an automotive plant by job description. If i'm telling people what to do but it constantly doesn't make sense or isn't right, eventually they aren't going to listen to me b/c they know i don't know what i'm talking about. I could be the best manager of people in the world, but if i'm a dumb idiot who can't turn on simple equipment, managae inventory and raw materials, schedule and train employees they aren't going to value my opinion which eventually leads to LACK OF RESPECT.

Its that simple.

We lose our top assistiants and replace them with the likes of unproven guys likeMarcus Grant and George Brooks. George Brooks sucked when he was here and looks as though all he should be doing is watching Rick's kids during the game. Stans needs to find him a proven assistant coach somewhere that can get the offense in gear, and he needs to put the hammer down on his players and MAKE them play Defense and rebound like his teams used to do. And if the so called stars on our team don't buy in, bench em and let em sulk. He better do something soon, or he won't be coaching at MSU next season. I have always been a pretty big Stans guy, but the effort I saw last night and 2 of our starters putting **** on Twitter for the world to see shows that Stans definitely doesn't have his players on his side anymore.

I think ignorant asses tweeting crap matters. I think suspensions matter. I think fighting in the stands matters. I think hustle, effort, and work ethic matter. I've been called a dumbass on this board for thinking this, but I think team dysfunction affects your record. Just my opinion. And yes I think Stansbury's poor handling of this team matters.

if there is one player who is busting his ***, is not talking **** at least publicly, is our best player - it's Dee Bost.

There's no doubt Bost not playing early hurts us but to claim Benock is our best player over Dee Bost is just idiotic. Until you back down from that, you are a dumbass.

Rudy Ruettiger was the best player on the entire 1975 Notre Dame team? He didn't have a bad attitude like the pansy starting quarterback who didn't like being hit.

I think we are misunderstanding each other. Dee is busting his ***. He is by far our best player when he plays. I do think the opportunity to build team chemistry (if Stansbury can do such a thing) was shot with the early suspensions to Dee, Renardo, and Ravern. Same as if a player was injured for 14 or 15 games. We've only had our starting 5 on the floor for 7 out of 21 games if my math is correct (and it may not be because I'm not looking it up). All of this has helped lead to an 11-10 record. Regardless of what you, I, or anybody else thinks, 11-10 is all that matters.
