Father in law grew up in Andrews/Marble area. He passed several years ago but still has family up there. He was a Coffey. We had a cabin for several years but sold it near Andrews. Wish we would have kept it now.
Will do, debating it big time depends on a few things and how they go. Love Yadkin County. They have a little bit of everything. If you do come up Griddie, come by and see me in pressbox.

I was wondering the same thingLOL how did this thread get derailed?
Are they any name brand motels nearbyAndrews fans,
You may want to stop for dinner/supper in Statesville. I would also advise to take the 421 exit at I77 (Winston-Salem exit) due to road Cindy and possible delay. Go about 2 miles take Hwy 21 exit and take a left. Follow SHS signs. Go about 2 miles and take a right on Longtown Rd. Stay on that road and school is on right.
Statesville would be the best bet but honesty Iād go on back to Hickory which isnāt much farther (provided you are coming that way) and stay there. More options and much more food options the next day.Are they any name brand motels nearby

I agree 100%. Didnāt want to offend anyone but my feelings as wellThank you
Iāve stayed in Hickory quit a bit and I think itās a little safer than Statesville. Appreciate it
Thank you Mam !!!Restaurants at 77 & 67 intersection with above motels
McDonalds, Wendyās, Cracker Barrel, Bojangles, Arbyās, Waffle House
Oh my...
I liked Skull Camp, but thought Angry Troll was a little better. Some good live music at Skull Camp when we were there. There is a new Fairfield Inn in Statesville, and a good Holliday Inn. Both off the I-40/US 21 intersection. That area isn't too bad. As for safety, there isn't much difference in Statesville and Hickory. Both have parts to avoid.
Your best bet would be to just take a short trip up into Jonesville to the Hampton Inn or Best Western. There is also a really nice Fairfield Inn in Elkin.
As for food, skip the chains. Check out Generation's in Jonesville, Southern on Main in Elkin, 67 Pizza in Jonesville, Skull Camp Brewing in Elkin, or Angry Troll Brewing in Elkin.
What is the Pizza place on main called? You might have named it, CRS is kicking in.I haven't been to Skull Camp in some time, someone told me they had changed the menu and it wasn't as good. But worth a shot if you like smoked food.

They are doing a youth football event this weekend.
WIFM will be at East Surry.
I was told that they are committed to doing a youth football event this weekend and it would not work out in doing the Andrews-Starmount due to logistics. So fyntv is covering nobody this week? That sucks.

Starmount has been working on the NFHS camera issue and should know tomorrow if it will be in use.
Safe travels to Andrews and their fans, as well as all other across the stateItās just one more day !!
Both teams have seen it all. Theyāve seen physical strong running games and strong defenses. Theyāve seen spread offenses with speed and passing games. It comes down to execution of all three phases of the game and who makes the fewest mistakes as in turnovers & penalties. My guess itās to close to call and will be decided on the field by the players not by some old armchair QB like me.
Get em Cats !!!!!!
