Another factor in SEC dominance I don't see mentioned much....

Is how battle-tested the SEC teams are. It's not just athletes that are bigger, stronger, and faster than everyone else. These guys have been through the fire by the time they reach the title game. Let's face it, once you start conference play, you're essentially playing a BCS game almost every week. In a lot of ways, the title game, and especially any other bowl game, is just another game. Not so much for other conferences, who play maybe 2-4 "big" games during the regular season. Try playing 6-8, because that's what's happening in the SEC every week.

This is true. Urban Meyer kept mentioning how Notre Dame was struggling to adapt to Alabama's size and athleticism, and how they underestimated the speed of guys like Lacy. Notre Dame had never seen anything like what they saw.

However, after Alabama played Georgia, LSU, etc., there wasn't a whole Notre Dame could show them talent-wise that they hadn't already seen. Does anybody really think after playing 13 games in the SEC that Alabama's O-line was worried about Notre Dame's front 7?

This is probably why Ohio State will be the first team to challenge the SEC in any championship game. Urban knows what it takes to beat an SEC team. You're going to see him recruit the DL talent to get it done. Suspect he'll be a big player for Georgia and Florida talent.

Urban Meyer will only succeed in getting OSU back to the title game on a regular basis then getting his *** handed to him by the SEC team he faces.
