So, 11 ROSTER OL is "fine"?

Better or worse than 2 roster QBs?

I was thinking we needed 4 quality OL high school recruits this year. We may get that. By my count, that will be 11 OL for 2014 counting the current roster and assuming 4 signees this year, plus any we add in the 2014 class, some of which will redshirt. They want a rotation of 8 regularly, so if we have at least 11 suited up as non-redshirts, maybe they feel like they will have 8 of those ready to go for 2014.

Assuming we have 4 redshirting in 2014, we would have 15 OL on the roster of 85. I'm not sure what the normal count is, but I doubt it's much higher.

Believe me, OL is the biggest concern I have with our remaining spots, with the risk of only signing 2 as a possibility. If we sign 2 more quality players at the position, I think we will have addressed the position.

It is funny how they claim how short they are on talent and how amazing their 7-6 record was this year. On the other hand, they have no issues whatsoever on their team. Whatever is convenient for their argument.

We were just young, not short on talent. Other than the OL spot, this rising senior class is thin on talent too. We aren't far from having a pretty balanced roster.

I did see an analysis on 2 deeps for the SEC, and we were the youngest 2 deep in the league. MSU was the oldest. The spread was roughly one full year per player from your 2 deep to ours, so youth was a valid argument. That youth was pretty talented though. Just need to fill the OL spot. It appears we have QB, RB, WR, and TE shored up for the near future. The defense across the board looks to be on track with numbers and talent too for the next few years. We just need to keep recruiting, shore up the OL for the future, and develop what we have at other positions with experience.
