North Stanly wins that game, but wouldnt happen because North would be on Tarboro's side of the bracket
Cutoff will be at 501 Hobbton smallest 1AA school and Rosewood the Biggest 1A school in my opinion. I honestly think NCHSAA would prefer a Mt Airy v North Stanly game for the Western Finals along with another Edenton v Tarboro again (Huge Crowd last year) in Eastern Finals.
At the end of the day though, you play whoever is next and lined up against you.
Question I have for 1AA West, if North Stanly goes East, who is the big Competition to Mt Airy to draw a big crowd for the Western Finals?

That doesn’t matter. The NCHSAA gets the qualified teams and separates them to 1AA and 1A by their ADMs. Then they use the schools’ latitude to determine east or west.
East Surry, no one else is even a mild threat with Murphy and Mitchell going small 1A.
It doesnt matter, east or west, big or small. They will make it no farther than the 3rd round.
If this materializes, Tarboro's road could be much more difficult than last year. The Comets are no joke.
I think our team last year made our road look a little easier than it actually was. West Mont was 11-2, coming off a state title appearance the year before, and edenton was 12-1 also coming off of a state title appearance. Both of these teams had been blowing out teams until they got to us. I think both of them were decent teams, we were just that special last year.
If they were special, it feels like this year's Vikings are better still. Scary...

Rville is a true 1A school all the travel hardship schools, and the schools that create an EC program so they can play down aren't. Now think before you reply to this, and look at the situation from a true 1A schools position

Ok, I have thought about this and let me see if I follow your thinking. So the only reason for a county to have EC is football? I guess those kids who actually attend these schools to get a jump on college are just pawns in the game. It has nothing to do with the fact it is/can be beneficial for some young men and women. Counties have to spend many more extra $$$$'s to have employees and operate these EC's just to get to play down. Yep, I have thought about it and this is still a very very crazy way of looking at this.

You're right. We have schemed for decades on how to drop down to 1a. Our principal and superintendent collaborated with about 75 other counties, including Cherokee county, and bribed the NCHSAA into creating early colleges and charters to drop our enrollment. When that didn't work completely, we contacted President Bush, and blackmailed him into creating an economic recession, so working families would leave Mitchell county and head for more prosperous areas, and BOOM! IT WORKED! We are finally in 1a so we can finally compete in high school football. And we would have got away with it too, if it hadn't been for you meddling kids and your dog.
I bet the ES and NR faithful would argue their teams may have something to say about that. Amazes me how quick so many people on here hand out title shots and trophies.
