Hard to blame them. No excuse for telling one of the best QBs in the nation that you don't have a spot for him if he plays baseball. Also, his results at NC State have been pretty mediocre considering the schedule and the trend the last couple of years has been slightly down. Probably still a mistake, but he's a very overrated coach. He's fairly good, but nothing special.

Yeah, it's stupid, not only b/c of their inability to realize who they are, but also due to the coaching replacement market this year. If Pinkel is let go, they automatically fall behind 4 SEC schools in attractiveness, there are more moves elsewhere to come, and it's not like there are a ton of new hot names available this season.
