Anybody think Mississippi makes it close in T-Town?

Did you not see what Bama did to UGA!?!? It's gonna be ugly. Very wonderfully ugly. What makes you think otherwise?

...but I can see them being competitive to the end. 14 to 17 points.

Did you see Bama struggle against Kentucky? Did you see Mississippi play Florida? Mississippi keeps it very close

Did you not watch Bama play Tulane or Kentucky?

They have played two great games against good teams, and they've played very mediocre football in their other games.

They're a good team, but somehow I don't think we'll see the same Bama team that played against Clemson and UGA. Both of those were hosting Gameday national game of the week type games. If we see the team that played against UGA and Clemson, we'll be in trouble. If we see the Bama team that played against UK and Tulane, we'll probably win.

The other side of that coin is whether we turn the ball over or not. If we turn it over like we did against SC and Vandy, it could be ugly. If we take care of the ball like we did against Memphis and Florida, we'll play with them.

Saban is not gonna overlook the Rebels. You don't have to skulldrag teams like Kentucky and Tulane. Those are scrimmages. UM is gonna go down ugly. UM beating Florida proves nothing. Croom beat Florida with his supposed Jackie crap team and it didn't amount to a hill of beans. This is gonna be a wild west smackdown and Bama is gonna put UM to bed for good this season. LSU is gonna be the team that whoops BAMA and goes to Atlanta to play UGA for the NC.

There was another SEC West team that won a few games like that last year.

If McCluster throws the ball out of the back of the endzone tomorrow, Ole Miss will get beat soundly.

If OM limits turnovers they'll cover (at the very least).

On everything else, you're absolutely correct. Saban never overlooks anyone, save the occasional Sun Belt team with 12,000 fans. I'm sure the Tide players have been looking forward to playing Ole Miss all year.

That's the thing. Saban wasn't overlooking Tulane or Kentucky either. His problem is that his team was. I'm just saying that Bama has managed to get up and play lights out twice this year. Both happened to be on the biggest national stage of that particular week. They're still a pretty young team, and they still have at least 2 losses in them. Not saying one will be this week, but they're such a wild card that it's impossible to know which Bama team will show up.

I think it will be a 14-17 point game. I don't see Bama overlooking OM at home, coming off a bye week.

i really don't think any team in the country is that great. I think Missou pulls another upset tonight then espn will be in a frantic mode to crown the next great team this year.

much less number two. They have played well in a couple big games, but neither win now looks as good as it did at the time. UGA hasn't looked good all year, and Clemson obviously was overrated.

We have a legit shot to win. It's all about turnovers. We commit none, I think we win. One, maybe. Two? We get beat, and maybe badly. 15pts was a pretty big line though, considering it's been a three point game three straight year, with St. Orgeron at the helm.

Their old coach says they will win. </a><a href="http://www.clarionledger.com/article/20081018/SPORTS030103/810180339/1109">http://www.clarionledger....ORTS030103/810180339/1109

Brewer agrees. The former coach still lives in Oxford and says the atmosphere in Tuscaloosa is always intense. But for some reason - maybe because of the 20-year anniversary of the famous win - he still has a good feeling about what's going to happen today.</p>

"Some of the Bama folks I run into say that I'm crazy," Brewer said. "That may be true. But I feel a win coming this weekend. We've got the coaches and the players and we're going to be up for it.</p>

"I can't explain it, I just feel it."</p>

Win some you aren't supposed to....Lose those you are supposed to win. Nutt lives for a game like this. I am still going with Bama by a touchdown.

just been missing one game on my big bets, but still picking correctly at about a 70% rate- Stansfield may even be worse at picking games than Cowbell- so Mississippi will probably keep it close or even win today...

Stansfield was one of the guys in preseason telling us how bad Bammer was going to be this season, now they are worldbeaters according to him....

I agree that the bye week will keep them from looking past the Rebels. I think the fact that Ole Miss went into Gainesville and won keeps Bama focused as well. And I think Bama will be looking to make a statement because they feel slighted that Texas jumped them on an off week. Bama wins big.

just bet aGAINST whatever Coach puts up here. I mean, I'm SURE he's cleaning up on the bets he doesn't publicize, but his bets here are sure things. I'd rather let my two year old pick the teams at random out of a hat.

The exact reason teasers and parlays are sucker bets. But you're a world beater when it comes to sports gambling, so i'm sure you'll have an excuse or say that you're playing with house money.

The one where I said the picks you put on this board consistently lose? I got mountains of evidence that say otherwise.

Shouldn't you be mixing up that bleach/lye cocktail?

both levels can win 2 awards....

HS gives Conference COY and State COY

College gives Conference COY and National COY

i'd say it correlates pretty well

is completely different. Yea, you were the best of that level but you are basically saying being Voted Most Likely to Succeed = Winning the Nobel Peace Prize. It doesn't.
