I really hope we can get Bost back. He was an *** but he has the potential to be one of the best PG in the league. Is this even possible? I'm not up on the NCAA rules regarding his situation. So someone who knows a little more please fill me in.

It shouldnt be possible. And if he does get back, then the NCAA would have totally ignored a well known and clear rule. I dont want that. Even if it benefits us, i dont want that. We should want the NCAA to follow their own rules regardless of who is affected, otherwise what the hell have so many here bitched about thru the years?...that we dont get equal treatment and that mean equal shady/sketch treatment? I sure hope not.
If anyone has been pissed that UK, OM, or Bama has been given preferred treatment thru the years and yet wants Bost to be cleared...then get your **** together and quit being inconsistent.

Think of what this would do if the NCAA allowed a player to come back after that deadline. IT WOULD OPEN THE DOORS FOR ALL OTHER PLAYERS TO COMPLAIN AND DO THE SAME.

As bad as we need Dee, he made his bed, and now he has to sleep in it.

so he might be repeating what the coaches are saying. But he can't be rational when it comes to Stansbury.

Its just incorrect each time when all is said and done.

Its as if there is a brainstorming session which he overhears, he picks something that was actually suggested and turns it into reality, and plasters it here for everyone to beat down since it isnt what ultimately happens.

</div><div>I still think there is a tiny chance he's back, but it's not likely--<span style="font-weight: bold;">would require special treatment by the NCAA</span>. If he really wants to come back and put himself in this position, he really is an idiot.</div>
the only special treatment we get from the NCAA is NOT the good kind...

Are you saying that Rick is like Daryl Strawberry as in snorting cocaine?

If so, I will admit that is kind of funny.

I'm a little concerned since he said we were getting Moultrie. We will see if Dawgbreeze gets this one. I have to agree with 99% of the board that thinks Dee is gone.

to hang out with friends and play ball all day against good competition?

If he starts summer school, then you will see he is trying to come back

So he tries to stay...then what? He appeals to the NCAA which laughs at him?

If the NCAA were to allow him to play, justthink of the ramifications. The unintended consequences would be huge. Playerswould see that they can declare, stay in the draft after the deadline, and come backto still play.

And if he werecleared to play, no MSU fan could ever again complain about the NCAAbeing corrupt/inconsistent because their school will have just benefitted from such a thing.

You are not the only person who talks to coaches or folks in compliance. This situation has been discussed and now lets see who was right or wrong.

needs it- "unless the NCAA goes back on it's word"

The ramifications of Dee returning would really be a tremendous change for college basketball and a nightmare for coaches if players were allowed to go through the draft and then easily return to school.

I really hope Bost stays...we would be a pretty damn good team except for post defense and rebounding...of course, !@*#!*@+%# couldnt get Kobe and LeBron to a Sweet 16, much less the team we'll have...but it still should be enough for to get us another shared West title

Did he send in his withdrawl paperwork before the deadline and just never tell anyone? </p>

Cuzotherwise the NCAA views him as in the draft. </p>

</p>

Please tell us exactly how such a clear rule is being worked thru.

Is this coming from the same source that told you Clemson offered Stansa job before Purnell had left or even been contacted by DePaul for their job?

It's one thing if he actually did stay in throughout the draft and didn't get drafted. But it seems that he wanted to pull his name out within a week after the May 8 deadline, so maybe they'll grant him a waiver since he's not actually wanting to stay in at this point (and the draft is still a little ways off)

But if the NCAA let UK's Morris back, why wouldn't they do it for another player? Also, someone posted on here that the rule stated last year that you could stay in the draft and still come back, but that it was changed this year... Why did they change it again?

The jock sniffer is covering his behind. Phil put down his clip board long enough to give him a little nugget about Bost.<div>
</div><div>If Bost plays, we will get a "told you so because I harass - I mean talk to - our coaches." If he doesn't, we will get a "it's Slive, Templeton, Croom (fill in the blank with someone who has caller ID)".</div><div>

As far as Blue, you better go back to worrying about Kentucky and your boy Calipari. By the way, haven't talked to Cunningham since the SEC tourney so that little fallacy is yours and yours alone. All I know is Bost will beback. I could care less who is right or wrong, all I know is he will help us and anything to put Coach in his place is all the better. You folks don't give our folks and staff much credit, and therin lies the difference in how we think. If we win the National Title, some of you will still be bitching. Good thing most of our coaches and fans have a better attitude than you negative losers.

"<span class="post-title">bash me all you want to and I know for a fact clemson offered Stans & none of you know when"

I dont think anyone is contesting this. Its been documented that he was offered. You knowing that for a fact is no more impressive than knowing for a fact that we went from a preseason ranked team to not even making the NCAAT this year.

I dont bash you for saying they offered him...i bash you for saying they might have offered him BEFORE Purnell was even contacted by DePaul.

Oh, and i bash you for announcing he was heading to Clemson.</span>

I have no idea what Dawgbreeze is talking about with Bost, but Clemson did try hard to get Stans. I live in the area, and it wasn't a secret that Stans was who they wanted after their first couple of dream candidates who would never come to Clemson turned them down. I think Stans made a mistake in not taking the job.

Yeah, ive said i agreethey tried to get him. I dont disagree with that. As i said earlier in this thread, its something that was well reported. So him saying hewas right on that is as impressive as me sayingwedidnt make the NCAAT this year. Its something that is well publicized and accepted.
