What I want to know is why he is so dialed in on UM but hasn't pulled the trigger yet? Decommitted from Clemson.. Brother plays at UM...mother wants them to to play together according to interviews... Says he wants to play with family... Taken multiple visits.... Dad assured job at UMMC.... Brother says he is committing in two weeks.... Next week.... This week.... This weekend...In two more weeks.
Why hasn't he pulled the trigger if there is nothing and the PEER committee has so called cleared everything? Just a question. The probable answer is "weighing his options". Well... Um... If he has publicly said he wants to play at UM and family wants him there, what is there to weigh? I mean besides not playing for a NC.
I mean there is zero eligibility concerns according to the insiders of UM recruiting on this board. I would Just like some opinions of the holdup.
Is it possible that he may already have essentially let the winning coach know? Thus no announcement needed yet.
Is it possible that he may know where he wants to go, but doesn't want to deal with the pressure that increases 10 fold from every direction the minute a player like him actually pulls the trigger? Could he avoid any backlash by waiting until later to announce?

As much as the prospect of OM losing RK due to a rules violation would make my year, I can't see where it would be practical to say no "booster" can hire the relatives of any recruits. So since every school in the state is recruiting Conner, if his dad was looking for a job, he couldn't be hired by anyone who attended a university in Mississippi without a rules violation?? So what's he supposed to do--move out of state? And it says that doctor at UMC didn't even go to OM. And if you are hiring, you have to overlook every candidate who has a relative that plays high school sports. Sounds pretty weak...

The ethics problem is that Dr Summers works for the state of MS in position to offer a job to someone who can return the interest to a family member. (And BTW, I'm not sure it matters which happens first - RN going to OM or Sunday taking the job.)
Doesn't have anything to do with say a Rebel at the Winchester plant giving a job to a recruit's mom. The state of MS doesn't own Winchester.
The ethics law is about state of MS employees, not the general public.
