I’d be interested to see where I said anything like that. I did say they brought in a good RB from Army. And in fact they ran the ball all over us. They lost because their QB & receivers sucked & their secondary couldn’t cover for sh*t.

And because they didn't have a RB who could put the ball into the endzone on their last red zone trip. Skattebo on that team and they win the game, zero doubt.

The exchange we had before our game was about me thinking they wouldn't be the same team without Skattebo and you saying they were essentially the same team. They are a different team without him. Watching their offense inside the 5 makes that very apparent.

Yes, they're still good, but he made them a playoff contender. I honestly doubt they'll be that this year even though they are a solid team.

And they just beat a top 25 team, are 2/0 in the big 12 (RB went for over 130 yards in 6.2 ypc) and averaging 16 more yards rushing than they did last year. Of course they miss Skattebo. Anyone could. But they’re still a good rushing team.

You're arguing past me. The discussion wasn't about whether they're a good rushing team. I said clearly then and now, they can run the ball.

But, they're different without Skattebo. They have a nice, shifty RB who does good things between the 20's, but is almost useless inside the red zone. That has been proven numerous times thus far this season.

They are a different team without one very good player. It matters.

I’m not arguing past you. You’re trying to put words in my mouth & I’m correcting you. I was right that they’d still be a damn good rushing team. Where is was wrong is I thought their QB and secondary were better than they are. Funny thing is, if not for 1 play the offense wasn’t even in the field for the narrative shifts from they’re just not the same team without Skattebo to they’re a consensus top 10 team & probsbly best chance for a non Big 10 or SEC team to win the championship.

As for the goal line stand, Dillingham had a lot to do with it. You run that formation & play calls inside the 1, not just outside the 2. He got too cute trying to run clock & make us use our time outs & forgot the #1 goal there is to score a TD.

I've said what I need to say. No point in saying more, I'll just be repeating what I typed above.

Here's the conversation. If I mischaracterized it I apologize...
