If we lose tonight were pretty even and many can make a case for them ahead of us. Tonight is a must win.
No we are not. What will their NET Kenpom Trank or other metric be ? We are ahead by 13-20. Their win at home on a buzzer beater moves them less than 5 and if we lose but will not ,will drop less than 5. We beat them 2x. In what world are they even. ? Almost every bracketologist will have us ahead of them and I am sure every committee member has us above since we are in the tourney and have been and they have been out or on the bubble

Yes...but with a possibility of 4 q3 losses we gave them something to look at

Minnesota specifically
See I do not think things are looked at black and white. You keep saying losing to Temple and Nebraska Quad 3 losses and before that Seton Hall were 4 bad losses. Temple at the time we played them was no a terrible loss and they have beaten Houston. Nebraska since the Wisconsin game before they played us are playing well. Do not know if you watching now but they are beating Iowa 75-73 with 3 plus left at Iowa. They have beaten Maryland , Rutgers , Wisconsin , Penn State lately with the other top teams. It is bad we lost at home but they are not a terrible team. and been competitive Seton Hall was better early before going in their funk and it is a rivalry game. Now they are Quad 2,. So hammer us for a buzzer beater loss at Minnesota that took a miracle since we controlled that game with a double digit lead for most of the game , but looking more closely at Temple Nebraska and Seton Hall and just categorizing them as Quad 3 doesn’t make them terrible resume killing losses.

I really appreciate the quality back and forth.

You are right..not bad themselves but the number of them plus Minnesota beyond awful

Good news is Nebby winning today

Oh a win over a one seed on road...doesnt get better than that

The other 3 are solid especially in quanity

4 road wins vs schools projected in field
I know the Purdue win is huge, but thought you might know where 3 or 4 Q1 road wins would stack up, like 10th or 20th or whatever - given how important that stat is, one would think being in the top 10 or 20 of that category would be very impressive.

They also dont have a single bad loss. Their worse loss is a home OT loss

I agree that PSU gets bid over us if we lose.

Maryland with 1 conference road win and a neutral against Miami while losing by 14 to RU and RU with 4 B1G road wins, all against NCAA caliber teams, to me, are equal.

I also don't worry about noise and nonsense from skeptics who don't know CBB. I see Nebraska coming into the RAC now very differently than a month ago.

I also view teams like MSU, Indiana, Illinois and Michigan differently than I did 2 months ago. All 4 have played better basketball and pass the "eye-test".

It's a rugged league and needs the same level of respect given to the better Big 12. I don't see Purdue winning a National Championship with freshman guards but winning at Mackey needs some more respect than it's being given on here.

Maryland will be seeded slightly higher than RU IF we win tonight. Meaningless argument essentially. Rutgers out with loss.

Nebraska has now beaten Wisconsin , at Rutgers , Penn State , Iowa and Minnesota and won 5 of 6. Only losses in last 7-8 are at Michigan and home against MSU where they blew a 17 point first half lead. They have beaten Iowa 2x . They beat Creighton. Their NeT , despite the lousy metric it is , will go from 94 to like 80 tomorrow., close to Quad 2. We caught them when they were hot not when they were injured.

BTT seeding update:

Rutgers/Indiana win = 8 seed vs 9 Northwestern
Rutgers/Michigan win = 6 seed vs Nebraska/Minnesota winner
Northwestern/Indiana win = 9 seed vs 8 Michigan
Northwestern/Michigan win = 9 seed vs 8 Illinois

Wiscy/Minny game irrelevant for all of the above

LETS GO RUTGERS AND INDIANA
Id rather be the 6 seed.

No way.... And risk losing to Nebraska again?

Not to mention we want Michigan to lose for NCAA seeding/bubble
We could lose to anybody we play.. you all must be thinking we need another guaranteed win if we win tonight. there isn't one.
Not to mention a rematch game with Minnesota..

indiana with a steal with 30 seconds but rushed a shot with a forced drive, should have been able to take the last shot...got lucky to get to OT
