If Cliff coming back it is bad news. Anything else I can deal with
Spencer not coming back would be really bad news because he was the Rutgers player opponents feared from a scoring perspective. All these rumors need to be addressed ASAP because most of the top players in the transfer portal have already committed to another school.

As far as I'm concerned about the threat of bad news coming in a thread that can only speculate over what the bad news is because no other info was supplied except a tweet saying hearing not so good news with a link to the premium site of this board.
I'll wait for the news to come and while waiting will be singing this

All logically signs point to Simpson.

If I wanted to be starting point guard and my coach brought in a player to be the starting point guard AND there was another team offering me the job and $ it would be something I would have to strongly consider.

This is indeed interesting. Maybe someone sees the writing on the wall, looking longterm

:/

Recruited over and two PG coming in the next two years. I thought it was a possibility.

He would still be getting lots of playing time at 1-2 and next year as a Jr would be the most experienced guard. Hope it's not him.

Depressing but completely plausible.

Spencer has already said he’s returning
I understand but that was a while ago.Nobody expected the 2023 verbal commit to change his mind after Hobbs left as a assistant coach.Simpson would be a loss but Fernandes will be the starting point guard next season and 2024 looks promising at the guard positions.

Could also be Woolfolk (from Ohio; close to Grandmother who passed away) or Chol. That said, "significant" makes it sound more like Simpson, Mag, or Mulcahy leaving. As knight82 note, whoever it is, just look to move on from there.

Would be weird cause Simpson was just at the football spring game
Yeah, I guess we really don’t know anything. But it really is the Wild West now and we don’t know who may have swooped in with a crazy offer. And that goes for any of our players.
