Jody Lewis looking for a commitment edit. Also not good news considering the amount of interaction he's had with the USC commits.

What am I missing here? What commitment? Did he commit somewhere? What needs to be edited?

He's looking for an "edit" which is basically a Twitter "poster" showing the recruit in his schools uniform with some other graphics, etc. It would be used for his announcement.

I'm guessing he made a video and now changed his mind. Don't think this is good for us at all. Sucks

Why do people get theirs and others hopes up. Not negative but have we ever got these types of guys in the last 20 years? Will we ever? Can't believe it till I see it

Marlon Lucky. Also a number of top 100 guys as recently as Lamar Jackson a year ago. Aaron Green, Terrell Newby, etc.

Suh was part of the worst D in history . Granted he came. and eventually dominated but was recruited by cally as was lucky. And let's be straight , lucky green Newby while good guys to get , they ain't the next coming of roger Craig and A Green. Let's see about Jackson. Not to be negative , but ....,

You said last 20 years. You seem to be a contradiction of sorts.

I'm sorry but without Sarrell this OL class is pretty underwhelming to me. Serviceable guys down the road but no difference makers that a big time traditional power should sign. Just my opinion. Thankfully we did get a few studs last year!

This offer basically ruined my day. We all know what this means. Gonna be a very difficult year for Cav. Guy doesn't have a leg to stand on if you ask me. But I'm sure his nut huggers will come to his defense in this post and fight for him even though they have zero basis to support him. Zero. Nada. Not one freaking thing.

But I'm sure he'll be cranking Outland award winners soon. Because I mean we've seen what he can do with low rated kids such as utter.

Sorry, gotta do it... Farniok, Raridon and Wilson say hello.

Having said that, I'm not saying Cav is the guy. But I do think you're reaching a little saying there is zero basis to support him.

If Riley went in a different direction, I would be ok with that. His line this year was very bad. But at least give credit where it is due.

Raridon was committed to the prior staff, so can't really count that one for Cav.

Wilson wasn't highly recruited. A 5.5 3-star until later when rivals bumped him to a 5.6. Look at his rivals offer list, not great. Rumor has it, he's good but that has yet to be seen. We herd in Fall camp he was good but oddly never made it on the field. So I'll believe in him when I see him. Either way, not really a next level recruit

Farniok i like and I have always said he's the only true Cav commit that has impressed me. But even he was a 3 star. Just saying

I think we should also keep in mind that Sarrell was a potential cherry on top of an already pretty good OT class.

He wasn't our last hope to field a decent line.

Which is strange because your "liking" follows almost strictly their linear order in Rivals rankings from some time ago.

By order of any sort of reporting out of practice squad or camp as to actual performance, more has been said about the quality of Wilson and Raridon, than Farniok.

Although, I think we all expect most if not all of those redshirts to be upgrades over what we fielded this year.

Farniok was a composite 4* and I believe he was even a 4* on Rivals single service.

Yep, and many people that have seen practice like Farniok but feel he is better suited to be a guard rather than a tackle but will have to stay on the outside due to numbers. These three should put smiles on a lot of faces over the next four years, however.

Not going to claim I know much. I did talk to coach Tenopir several times before his passing. Great guy by the way. He fully believed in coach Cav , the young guys on the roster and strongly believed good things are coming. I'll trust him and what he saw.

Yah, lot of reason to be excited by the young guns. Will be young, but should develop into quite a formidable group.

I disagree that this is already a pretty good OT class. Maybe for Colorado St or Wyoming, not for a big time program like Nebraska. At least we got a pair of good ones last year.

I'm actually bullish on the potential of Sichterman and Jaimies (sorry if spelled wrong) but they will need a few years to be ready physically, whereas the "Big 2" we were chasing were ready now and we need help now. THAT is my real concern...but the two we have coming in have some nice athleticism which I like a lot!

I hope they prove me wrong. We can't afford to miss on any OL recruits right now. Just got an uneasy feeling about these kids!

I don't really think I'm too far out in left field here. Schaefer echoed basically the exact same thought just before Christmas

"I don't think Nebraska needs to bring one in - that's the point of Jameis and Sichterman. It would be really good for class, but at least eggs aren't all sitting on Filiaga and Sarell"

Folks I trust more than myself really like both the OT's we have on-board right now, and Clouse has been pretty adamant that Sichterman might be one of the most under rated players we have. Jaimes has turned some heads late as well.

They also have offers from coaches I trust: Herman and Patterson offered Jaimes, and Narduzzi and Dantonio (among others) offered Sichterman.

You'll have to excuse me if I'm not a little bit excited about the potential of these young men, they could have easily chosen schools with much more recent success on the big stage than us. We didn't save them from having to attend CSU and Wyoming.

Although with Bohl's track record of identifying talent he can use to regularly embarrass Power 5 programs, I'll take his vote of confidence with Walker as a development project, any day.

last year's class of O line was and is legit, hell they probably all start next year, it was and is going to be a bad *** class of mean lineman, they will get it, Cav is a good coach, time will tell but I do know this if he thought uncle Milt was a great coach he will lead by example. jmo

And I really like Farniok. I stated IMO he's cav's best commitment inception to date for Cav @ NU. I don't care what his ranking was. I know he's good. But landing Sarrell would have been more than just the cherry. He could have taken our line back to being nasty. Something Cavs lines need to learn. I get that the only reason we were even in it, it was cause of Cav. But it would have been big to land him and Cav could have used a win there.

As it is, he's under a lot of doubt by many. Not all obviously but some. hopefully next year the line turns it around. Would have been easier with Sarrell. A guy like Walker won't be a factor his first two years. Cav may not see that long. Having a good line next year is not given. I'm sorry. I wish it was. We could use help next year.
