Call it what you want: a 'farewell'

The last time I wrote a column on the Opinions page I angered some people. Well, the part of the state of Mississippi that can read (about 400 people). That was a few years ago, but I doubt that Mississippi State fans have learned anything about satire (or literacy in general), and I haven't started caring about being professional. So I am going to do the mature thing and apologize.

I am sorry you still suck. So you went and bought yourself a fancy new coach with that-there spread offence, but guess what … you are still going to suck.

I am sorry you didn't have the courage to harass me about my column until after you had beaten us.

I am also preemptively sorry if I anger the football gods again and earn the Tide two more losses to you.

Satire? Bozeman needs to learn the definition of satire. Furthermore, his latest column proves the original column wasn't satire at all, but a failed attempt at making one feel better by picking on a lesser opponent.

Hey Bozeman.. why didn't you have the courage to harass anyone with their e-mails after alabama got that *** beat by the worst coach to ever grace an SEC sideline? And seriously? offence?? Yea.. we can't read a lick.

Ban his *** after his farewell column. Nobody really cares about you leaving and hiding behind calling a story satirical when it is patently non-satirical is journalistic cowardice. Go get a job with MSNBC or the NYT.

I'd like to know how many authors are from MS as compared to Alabamer. Welty, Faulkner, Grisham... I'd be willing to bet that it's not even close.</p>

One hit wonder Harper Lee (To Kill a Mockingbird and ... I can't think of anything else)
Uber socialist Helen Keller (Hard to come up with a joke about her)
Truman Capote did live in Alabama for a few years.

for such a worthless adversary.
And for the last time, "satire" is not a French word meaning "****** writing".

...has her own web site: www.nataliegulbis.com

She has a foundation and offers to make charity appearances. I think the Bulldog Club is a worthy charity, and, since Dan Mullen's wife was an anchor on the Golf Channel, we should invite her to come and show off her swing. She may have also already been to Old Waverly at the LPGA Open.

Some poor girl walked into class one morning with some type lime green shirt, and hot pink shorts, to which Flick quipped "Who the hell dressed you? Helen Keller?"

Mississippi

You could include Tennessee Williams and Richard Wright. Willie Morris and Barry Hannah, even. Thomas Harris (the guy wrote Silence of the Lambs and sequels).

I think Walker Percy was born in Alabama, but he came from a Mississippi family.
