Sallée makes predictions (notice the bold type) on every college football team. (I refuse to link the article).

He goes gonzo over UGA and UF. For TSUN, he says Wallace will throw 25 TD's, which is bold.

For MSU - he predicts that their pass defense will be Top 3 in the SEC. *Golf Clap*

WTF? State's pass D was 5th last season despite replacing most of the secondary - 3rd in rush D - 4th overall in the SEC.
Bama, USCe, and LSU all have major question marks on D.

He still predicts 7-5.

He has to be the worst analyst ever in the history of SEC football. It's sad that people get paid to write crap like that just to troll readers.

That lsu game killed our pass statistics. Otherwise, I hope he bets his paycheck on the gators all year long.

As long as Bo Bounds and Jon Wiener stand in line to gobble his cock I'm afraid State will not be hearing the end of this douchebag.

Absolutely NO ONE wants to hear what this guy belches. Remember. Anyone can write for Bleacher Report. You don't have to actually know what you are talking about. Maybe Wiener and YETI Boy need to join him over there.

I like listening to Bo most of the time, but wiener is terrible. I don't understand how some of these guys get radio shows

Its going to be tough to see people predicting us much above 8-4 because we've burned them in the past. 7-5 shouldn't happen unless Dak gets hurt.

Agree, Mullen has done nothing to this point that says he can win more than 8

games, he hasn't beaten the big boys. With that said I still think we win 9 somehow.

The problem is the TAMU game. Sallée sees TSUN going to TAMU the week - after the Bama game with College Gameday** - and winning. But State can't beat TAMU at home after a bye week - after TAMU plays UPigg in Jerry's World - with TAMU overlooking State to get TSUN the next week.**

8-4 is the fair assessment. State just hasn't been in the position to burn anybody in a long time.

I had been assuming A&M would find a way to be pretty solid this year, but after listening to someone on radio yesterday, I changed my mind.

I didn't realize they were returning only something like 3 starters on defense at this point, and they're playing a bunch of freshmen back there. Now, they sucked last year, so they couldn't get much worse on defense, but that's a recipe for giving up a lot of points in SEC games.

I'm still confident that Sumlin will be able to put together a very strong offense, even without Manziel, Evans, and Matthews, but I don't know if it'll be strong enough to overcome their defense.

Personally, I'm worried about our game with A&M, largely because it's on the road and it's the week after what will likely be a very emotional game for us.

I fully expect you to be able to beat A&M at home.

I'm ok with the disrespect and I hope our players see it, too. More motivation to go out and kick ***, IMO.

Sallee ...

still writes that Fulmer "resigned" at UT. Probably believes Cutcliff resigned at OM, Stans resigned at State, Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.

"It's a lot to ask Tennessee fans to be patient after all that's gone on since Phillip Fulmer resigned after the 2008 season, but one more year of patience is needed in order for second-year head coach Butch Jones to get the program back on stable footing."

I'm not ready to write Vandy off either. That new coach seems hard nosed as

hell to me and Franklin recruited pretty well and instilled a culture of winning. They will not lay down.

I don't think much about what Sallee writes anymore. I firmly believe he simply writes what the average SEC fan already assumes, which is that MSU is bad just like they've always been, because that's what gets him clicks.

Not a Sallee fan but honestly hard to blame anyone for picking us to lose 4 or 5 games. We haven't given much reason to go against the prediction in the past few years.

If I were an outsider my opinion of State would be a team with some good athletes that plays hard, but not enough weapons or consistency to crack top 3 in the SEC West.

If you watch SEC network preview, Greg McElroy wanted BADLY to pick State as a 9 or 10 win team, we just haven't shown enough (yet) for a guy like that to pull the trigger and bet ON us.

However, I'll wager right now that if we win 8 or 9 games this season that next year (provided Dak is back as a Senior) a few will pick us to win 10 or more, since we get BAMA, LSU, and OM at home. We can hang with AU and TAMU on the road, which gives us a chance to win the West in '15.

I think Vandy goes 0-8 this year in the SEC.

They may play hard, but they lost a lot of players at key spots, and I think this year is going to be a struggle for them.

Interesting point because last year I heard one analyst talk about the record of teams the week AFTER they play Bama and its awful. Playing the Tide really takes a physical toll and will make it tough on the Bears going out to A&M the next week. We barely skidded by a bad Arkansas team last year on the road after playing Bama.

I think that record was 1-31. Something absolutely astonishing. Which explains our terrible record against Arkansas all these years.

We get some nice breaks in the schedule while our opponent's are coming off tough games.

We need to make hay this year.

Yeah, I get it. "Prove it." But when I see people picking us to go 7-5 all I think about is our schedule. If we go 7-5, that means we only beat UK, Vandy, and Arkansas? I have a hard time believing that will be the case.

If it is the case, FiRe MuRlInZ!!!!

I also expect them to go 0-8. Franklin was smart enough to get out while the getting was still good.

Exactly. Quite possibly the best MSU team ever will not be able to beat a Bama team with an unproven QB, an LSU team with an unproven QB, an Auburn team with a pothead for a QB, an OM team that only has the fact they play at home as their strength or a TAMU team with a guy that hasn't taken a snap since the first game of last season.
