That is sad, my FIL had dementia and Alzheimer’s and I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy. It stripped him of his dignity, his personalty, and basically he was a shell of himself that barely ate and breathed. It was hell on our family watching him wither away, taking care of him was hard but watching the pain he suffered was the worst. Prayers to Huggins family. May he find peace.

No matter how anyone felt about Huggins this is very sad to hear about. As the poster above said, I wouldn't wish this kind of illness on my worst enemy. Very difficult on the person but extremely difficult on the family caring for them. Prayers to coach and his family.

Very sad news. My best wishes for his family, who will be greatly challenged by this. And to Bob Huggins.

I sincerely hated to see even Bobby Knight and his family go through this and on his worst day Huggins was only ten percent the azzh%le Knight was.

I can attest. Helping to caretake for my mom who has dementia. Losing of the memory is one thing, the delusional thoughts that enter my mom’s head is quite another. Just a very weird disease.

Man I love Huggins. He deserved a championship, he may have got there at Cincy if Martin didnt get hurt.

Sorry to hear this.

Really hope advances in technology and medicine can lead to improved treatment for these types of conditions soon. Just awful to watch someone go through that.
