You know your opinion doesn't matter on that. Its sort of like when a fan screams at you that your call in volleyball is terrible. It doesn't make a difference and your perspective of things is totally different than whats in the stands.

Well there are probably many fans that think your volleyball reffing sucks. That doesn't make them experts of the game. You'll eat crow soon in regards to Adkins.

Come on buzz we all know you're a volleyball official. I'm sure you do a great job. Just trying to put things into perspective.

You can’t be a bad coach with a self proclaimed “young team” and play Reidsville this close regardless of how many turnovers Reidsville has. This game is a testament to the MA coaching staff and should have any reasonable MA fan objectively excited for the future.

Mount Airy was way overmatched tonight. I think they've had a great showing. Should be proud of them. There are several coaches that would have a hard time playcalling against Reidsville.

6 to 7 sophomores on both sides of the ball, line is predominantly sophomores. The seniors are 6, 1, 12. There’s a couple of juniors that start. Junior qb out for the year, if he was there , 14 would move out wide. Us Bear fans are excited about the current 8th grade class that’s coming along with this group of freshman and sophomores. Halftime score was a win for the Bears, 2nd half not so much. Final is right at what I expected. Plenty of things to work but deff a few to build on.

Bears fought hard in the first half but couldn’t keep up at all in the second. Not sure about how good all these sophomores are MA offense sounded like a broken record on the radio, handoff to Smith, pitch to Smith, screen to Smith. Without him what’s left that’s an actual threat is the real question.

That 8th grade group is no joke. You guys are going to love having them for several years to come. I could easily see MA making a serious run at states in 2 years when the current 10th graders are seniors and they are supplemented with the current 8th graders (when they are sophomores).

I don't mean to put this coaches play calling down but it is what it is. I was not only one complaining several and I mean several people were complaining. As Esod said above it was same play over and over in 2nd half. Proud proud of this Bears team. They will be tuff out by playoffs. Go Bears!

They'll get better. It's not your typical Mount Airy team and not what you guys are used too. They'll be just fine. The next few years could be special. Look what JK did with the freshmen group he had at EW for 4 years. I know this isn't EW and its different. I'm excited to see what he does with this incoming class at Mount Airy. Especially with his focus on the weight room and off season workouts.

They’ll definitely be tough in a couple of yrs if they’re that young. It’s still Reidsville whether the cards beat them or not. As bad as we all don’t like it it just adds justification to how good the cards are this year. It’s gonna be interesting in 1a/1aa this year.

After hearing this game I can understand why the MA fans are so mad with the coaching. If these sophomores are truly this talented they need touches as well!!

In reference to ESOD, Smith is a great back, he will deff be missed next year. Got to remember with Poindexter out it changes things drastically for the Bears . Stroup is a very good receiver that’s having to play outside his position at qb , put him with penn out wide with a qb like poindexter then you have a lot more offense on the field outside of smith. Let’s face it , I’m high on stroup but he can’t make the throws poindexter does so penn don’t see the ball as much as he should. Bears have a couple more backs on the sidelines but just not a smith. Nance kid in another year will be pretty good as well. But in all honesty the next great bear back is in the 8th grade group we are referencing to.

great effort in 1st half by Bears; took advantage of consistent bad plays on D by Rams; 2nd half different story; Bears struggled on both sides of the ball; Rams D was difference...gave O short field-game over! speed/skill not even close...4-2 not bad for non-conference games when they could be 5-1; real stuff starts next week

Is Poindexter going to be back next year? Herniated disc is serious stuff. If not I don’t see how these other athletes will get the ball even next year. Smith is the real deal but when nobody else is a threat it makes life SUPER hard on him, defense stops him game is over.
