Imagine the documentary that would inevitably come out 20 years down the road if this happened in real life. "I figured it out when his teammates decided to no show at his birthday party."Bo Callahan had character issues
3 #1's for Trey Lance is asinine. Utterly ridiculous. Someone should have been fired for this. But, that being said, Lance was a victim of being injured more then poor play. He had the starting job and got hurt in that typhoon vs the Bears in week 1 and was replaced by Brock Purdy and the rest is history....then he got traded to Dallas to be Daks back up. I read he will be starting for San Diego this week with Herbert getting a rest.Forgot about the Lance trade...oooof.
I believe RGIII was also drafted after 3 firsts were traded.3 #1's for Trey Lance is asinine. Utterly ridiculous. Someone should have been fired for this. Yes, but they swapped 2012 1st round picks in the trade.I believe RGIII was also drafted after 3 firsts were traded.
He had at least one productive year before the injury bug bit him.I believe RGIII was also drafted after 3 firsts were traded.
Swapping 1st rounders then giving up 2 is the far as I would go for a player that I was 100% sure would be the peice we need to succeed for the next 5 seasons at least. But giving up 3 out right is insane to me. Bears giving up 2 for Mack really set us back. Even Hershel Walker who was a 3 pick trade was not a dominant player . He was good. He had a couple dominant seasons, but all in all I would classify him as a solid player. No Rings and no HOF.Yes, but they swapped 2012 1st round picks in the trade.
It was essentially the trade that built the 1990's Cowboys. It's even worse because he only played 3 years with the Vikings.Swapping 1st rounders then giving up 2 is the far as I would go for a player that I was 100% sure would be the peice we need to succeed for the next 5 seasons at least. Not sure there’s much they can do before the offseason. The defensive stats from the last 2 games are concerning, though. They’ve given up 880 yards over the last two games, which includes 392 yards rushing. GB was 0 for 5 in the red zone. SF had no problems there. Scored on drives of 65, 66, 75, 72, 65 and 75 yards. No short fields on their TDs. Yikes.I’m cool w letting this year play out before thinking about the draft/trades
Good OCs are going to leverage this defense all day. Stick with high percentage passes, and break off runs against the Bears poor gap integrity. Not sure there’s much they can do before the offseason. One silver lining I hope really helps the Bears is that their worst defensive performances have come on the road (Detroit, Cincy, SF).Good OCs are going to leverage this defense all day. Stick with high percentage passes, and break off runs against the Bears poor gap integrity.
