Beshear about to issue mask Mandate in schools?

I would think he has bigger aspirations.
Probably so (the rumor is he's being groomed for the US senate) but it seems like the blood between him and Beshear might be bad enough that Cameron wants to be the guy to unseat him. Depending on how long Mitch wants to stay in that seat, the timeline might work for Cameron to run for senator as the governor.

Cameron is Mitch’s guy, so I doubt running KY is on his agenda. Liberal Louisville and Lexington will give Andy another term.

At some point you do have to address that the African American and Latino population, mainly Democrat, are the least vaccinated groups. The reason you have to address it is because I don’t give a **** about politics and want this to be over by getting as many people vaxxed as possible, and divisive political crap like this doesn’t really help. All this crap about mask mandates could’ve been a moot point if most everyone was vaxxed
I know you would be much happier if Fox News asked about race but you don't get everything you want.

You didn’t address anything I said or any solution to it, just childish political arguing. How many young college aged adults are vaccinated? Older white conservatives are not the ones driving this current wave - it’s why ICU beds are about 20 years younger right now. Youth, AAs, Hispanics, they are largely unvaxxed. A big percentage of those don’t vote either. You can either try and make this about politics like a pawn in the system or acknowledge what’s actually happening.

Beshear ran against one of the biggest ******** in the country and still only won by 5,000 votes. Yes, Louisville and Lexington vote blue but it’s not enough to offset the rest of the state - see every other statewide office.

He is toast in 2023. 300k+ vote defeat.

Maybe. Depends on who runs against him. And the Republicans in this state aren’t the brightest bulbs when it comes to candidates. Hopefully, they find a competent one.

I addressed your preoccupation with race. Of course ICU beds are going to be occupied by younger people influenced by social media and kids under 12 that haven't been vaccinated. Older adults are the most vulnerable with the weakest immune systems. This is not news.

So who's behind the anti-vaxx and anti-mask campaign? Minorities? lol

Because mandates won't fly in the supreme court, businesses are left to mandate vaccinations to use their services or be culpable for the virus spread. Apparently, Harry Truman didn't have the social media or legal roadblocks when he issued polio vaccine mandates in the 50's. The result today is obvious. More spread and more death.

The good news is signs are pointing to a rollover in this current wave of infections.

Everyone of sufficient integrity and intelligence is anti-mask mandate, assuming they also care about the children collectively and not just their own.

If you insist on masking your children, you should do it together through parental agreement.

What? I was responding to your political video about how Republicans are the primarily unvaxxed, but no one is addressing minorities or young people who are also massively unvaxxed. I was just making the point that we need to address everyone, not just partisan politics which IMO makes people just dig in deeper. Political bickering helps no one. And my brother is an ICU physician - he’s never seen a single person under 12 stop being ridiculous right now it’s 95% unvaxxed

There is no "antivax" or "antimask" campaign. There is anti mandate. Masks are a crutch, they don't work. That isn't anti mask it's just pointing out the truth, if you want to wear one to feel better, have at it, but don't force everyone else.

The people you sympathize with are the problem Ron. Call them whatever race, political party or ethnicity you want.

This. I loathe Beshear and his response to the pandemic, but if the Republicans run some bible thumper who is dead set against gambling and marijuana legalization, then I might have to vote for Andy Dandy. I see the gambling issue as a much bigger longer term issue, whereas stupid mask mandates are relatively short term.

Horrible choices in this state most of the time.

I don’t sympathize with anyone, I’m just sick of all the political posturing. These last 18 months have been so divisive and terrible, and 90% is due to politics. Just wish we could drop all the Republicans vs Democrats crap for like 6 weeks and just come together and get on the same page and move on from this **** show. The truth is people from all over the political spectrum aren’t vaccinated, would be nice to get a unifying message for once.

Real talk. Vaccines, particularly Pfizer, are showing to lose effectiveness. Moderna will have a finite timeline as well. Boosters at this time aren’t recommended.

Masks will probably be a mainstay.
Vaccine boosters going to happen.

And sad reality is that even if US gets temporary reprieve from vaccines, covid will continue to spread and mutate outside of the US... then make it’s way back in.

Im no virologist, but have to think there’s a real chance covid is here to stay.

If you had any sense at all, you'd realize politicization could only make it worse by backfiring on you.

It's in everyone's best interest that as many people as possible get vaccinated. You have to accept that some people won't, for whatever reasons some perfectly valid some not. Being lied to or pressured by people they alerady don't have any respect for isn't going to help.

We've got some geniuses in Science Hill, KY protesting the mask mandate and threatening to pull their kids from school! Hopefully their kids have already learned the difference between "our" & "are" before these idiots take them out

King Andy going to get KY Board of Ed to do his dirty work since he knows he is violating the law. KY Board of Ed having special meeting Thursday to masks kids for up to the next 270 days..disgraceful:
Absolutely shameful and disgusting. In a better time, the public would drag these pieces of **** out.

None of these people (politicians, counsel members, board members, etc) represent us. They want to act like dictators. They do not fear consequences. There should be absolute fear for them to overstep yet everyone goes along with it. We do not work for them. They work for us.

Dems have made it very clear they’re going to try this up to 2022 and likely the midterms at the very least and then it will be something else. The goalposts will keep moving and the naive crowd will still keep thinking “the end is right around the corner.”
Radical take here but maybe covid isn’t a conspiracy, no one knows what’s going to happen and the end isn’t around the corner... or even close to it

Whether or not "Covid" is ending anytime soon, or not, your beloved pandemic is coming to end, and soon. The normals are increasingly fed up with this hysterical garbage, masks, and all.

Only option to have kids avoid masks is to home school. Any private school worth its salt is going to require masks if we are being real.

Haha, my kids school which consistently tests in the top 1% nationally in all grade levels (worth its salt), is saying no to masks. They also refused to close last year without a single problem. I thank the lord everyday there is no one there like you!

This is currently the third post on the first page of Reddit.
You are probably the person in the photo- a Hard Left activist deliberately looking stupid at a protest, for the purpose of making other protesters look stupid by association.

And why do I think it is you? Because, for nearly two years, you employed the same tactic on this very message board. You would post ridiculously exaggerated extremist right wing posts to make everyone with conservative views look stupid by proxy. It's a pathetic tactic, and you did it for years.
