Mallard Creek vs Butler game will be a good one. Interesting 1st game matchup with these 2 teams.
Also Mooresville at Davie could get interesting.

I agree Mallard Creek and Butler. Butler’s defense should be stout but unsure about the offense. Mallard Creek should have more returning players.

One individual told me the most talented QB on the Butler roster is a rising freshman. Idk how I feel about that. I know who the kid is he should be on a D1 roster 4 years from now but only a freshman. They return a whole lot on defense and at WR. They will be young at QB, RB, and OL. The defense will be one of the best in the state probably.

Creek from what I hear lost talented kids to Providence Day and several to Vance. Doesn’t look too good and tough non conference to open but then again Butler has never had a easy time with the creek boys they always bring it

Butler didn’t have a QB once Metzger got hurt in the Grimsley game hence the fake punt. So a QB would have to be a freshman or someone that moved into the zone. The defense will be pretty good. It’s been a while since Butler/Creek competed against each other with the talent levels being somewhat close. The Creek has been more talented the last six years or so.

Our starting QB last year at Mallard Creek, is now at Butler!
Ah that makes sense as to why my guy said the most talented is a freshman lol

Seriously though, who is slated to to start at the creek? A transfer or someone from JV/a kid who came up through the ranks of the program? Can’t argue with Hales and his track record of coaching QBs

I think the biggest QB transfer that nobody is talking about is the kid from AL Brown transferring to iNDY..that’s a big time move!

I have no clue about our QB situation. The great news about the Creek. 90% of the players will be returning after this year. Hopefully our young guns can step up.

It's evident there was a discussion with their coaching staff, that made them comfortable with him making the move. We'll see what happens.

I thought he was pretty good. I am sure Hales will tone down the playbook. Why go learn a new system which is difficult when he could have stayed where he was at where there could be more chemistry.

Thanks, glad you brought out South Carolina game. Northwestern-South Pointe does sound like a good one. I also like the Vance- Highland Springs in Virginia. That game looks interesting.

Butler's been running the same playbook forever. I've always looked at them, as we do what we do. Now stop us! I haven't been afraid of a Butler QB's arm since Davis Cheek. Not a lot of Bells and whistles. They've always had a strong run game. I believe the kids exiting made it easy for him to entertain other opportunities.

Hales is responsible for more QBs getting to the next level than maybe any other coach in this state. You get a shot to play under him....you take it.

When they had ARW, Hales adjusted the offense more to a no huddle zone read spread attack which was exciting to watch but tired the defense out if they couldn’t sustain drives. Once they had Cheek they went back more to their base wing t looks with some spread concepts. He had great anticipation on his throws.

Butler has a senior that has moved in apparently. You know how it is in Charlotte, a team like Butler has an apparent opening... kids will move in to fill it.
Oh, so its OK for kids to transfer in Charlotte when there is an " opening, " but when student/athletes transferred when there was an" opening "at Northern Guilford, its called recruiting/cheating....Very interesting.
P.S. Doesn't Catholic already get enough " benefits " with their special No Geographical Boundaries For Catholic rule ?

I don’t know a lot about Northern Guildford, and what they have going on. Catholic has more to do with coaching, Just my personal opinion. Nothing wow’s anyone, when looking at their roster. They’re not opening up the flood gates to let kids in. It’s a lot harder to get in CC, than the public schools in Charlotte. That’s not the reason for their success. I believe their success has more to do with their feeder program, Kids have been playing with each other for years. Of course they get a couple of new pieces every year. Not the reason for their success. Not a team in Charlotte, has won a Ship because of recruiting a bunch of new kids. Ask Hough! They’ve been recruiting an entire All-Star squad the last 5 years. Free Rental properties/Apartments 12 to 15 FBS players on the roster every year. Nothing! I heard when they played Byrnes a couple of years back. Some of those kids, just met for the 1st time, the week of the game. It just proves, you can’t just recruit an Allstar team, and roll the ball out. Coaching is required.

All school systems have maps showing district lines or boundaries. . Please send one of Catholic's " boundaries. " Thanks in advance.

per your request - it's a start
NOTE: all the RED dots in the blue shaded area are high schools

Please click on the map for better visibility.

I"m assuming you and your friend, Ladge, I'm assumin' you two think I"m Kowalewski because of your denying a map of Catholic's boundaries, which you've been denying for years. Never met the dude, wouldn't know him if he knocked on the front door, nor have the desire to make his acquaintance.
P.S. Please enclose in your response, if you so desire to respond, a map of Catholic's boundaries. Why is that such an alarming request ? Every other school system has maps of their schools' districts, so why doesn't CMS have a boundary map ?

In Charlotte. If you win, there’s no need to recruit. Players will come from everywhere.. I know this because I screened a lot of players trying to play for the Creek (Mike Palmieri days) 98% of the players that reached out, wouldn’t be able to beat out the kids already with the program. I’m confident Vance, CC, and (Chad Grier) @ Providence Days of the World, are having the same problems now....Lol! Hough is one of the few programs in CMS, that can fill their roster with 85% new guys. Now if they coached the way they recruited. They would have numerous Championships. They haven’t sniffed a championship. Every program has their own formula of work. Either way, It’s become a 24/7 business., its an obsession. If you’re not working around the clock, you need to hang it up in the Queen City. It’s not a partime job. The Lazy coaches blame it on recruiting.

I laugh when people talk about boundaries. That ship sailed about 10 years ago. I remember when we used to talk about recruiting and how awful it is/was. Another ship that has sailed

Its just silly to even discuss player movement as being an issue anymore. Guess what..........everyone is moving. Might as well put in a transfer portal in NC and let schools just openly recruit whomever they want.

Most of the kids that go to Catholic are from Davidson, NC to Fort Mill and Rock Hill, SC. As far as I know they can't get give out Scholarships and it cost 12, 000 dollars a year to go to Catholic.

I’d say 2-4 kids are from even Huntersville let alone Davidson. Christ the King takes all of those kids now. I was once part of a sizeable group of kids from St. Mark’s in Huntersville at CC. Now there are no more than 4-5.

So...
Everyone that's currently recruiting, the topic is not up for discussion since the damage is done and there's nothing to talk about....
and
Everyone that has not recruited to date and wants to recruit, then they shall take full advantage of it now since everyone has been violating it anyways......

Is this what I'm hearing?
