Big XII to add Villanova only for football! The world has ended. WVU is dropping football and joining Big East basketball only.
Not sure what they need to find out. Its all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$The BIG 12 also issued a statement:https://www.al.com/sec/2021/07/texas-oklahoma-no-shows-to-big-12-conference-meeting-per-reports.html
Furthermore, Ross Dellinger of SI reports Big 12 administrators were informed both schools have explored the possibility of joining the SEC. The next step, he said, is for the Big 12 presidents to connect with leads at Texas and Oklahoma and find out why.

Snyder made a comment several years ago that he knew of two former members that would love to come back in a heartbeat.I think the SEC contacted them first. Also, if it happens they might want to call Nebraska and Colorado about returning.
Keep dreaming if it keeps you busy.
excerpt:
While Big 12 officials search for answers from Oklahoma and Texas about their possible departures to the SEC, the league made it clear on Thursday it expects its flagship programs to adhere to the conference bylaws and TV contracts that have been signed.
The Big 12 athletic directors and their university presidents and chancellors held a videoconference on Thursday evening to discuss the possible moves. Both OU and Texas were invited to the meeting but declined to participate in the call, sources said.
In a statement provided to ESPN, the Big 12 said, "There is a recognition that institutions may act in their own self-interest, however there is an expectation that members adhere to Conference bylaws and the enforcement of Grant of Rights agreements.".....
During Thursday's meeting, conference officials also scratched the surface on discussions of what the Big 12 might do if OU and Texas left, and one source said that included looking into whether there were other Power 5 programs that might want to join, or if schools such as UCF, Houston, Cincinnati or BYU might make good additions. There was some appetite in the meeting for possibly adding two teams even if OU and Texas decide to stay.
None of those conversations gained significant traction, though, because the next step is figuring out the intents of OU and Texas -- and their motivation.
One source said the next 48 hours will be critical to answering that......
WVU rednecks and hillbillies will gladly replace them.Hopefully this will be like when they left for the PAC 10. A whole lot of back room arm twisting going on now in several places for several reasons. Allowing Texas into the SEC backstabs Texas A&M big time.
There are a growing number of Missouri politicians who want Missouri OUT of the SEC, they do not feel comfortable in a conference full of 'rednecks and good ole' boys'. They really believe they belong in the B1G where teams are more civilized and voting laws are more trouble free.
Right now the BIG 12 is in the high 30 mil range plus third tier rights (UT $15 mil per year, OU around $7-$10 mil.NOT COMPLETELY. BIG 12 PAYS $60 MILLION PER SCHOOL PER YEAR. NOT CHUMP CHANGE. AND DO OKLAHOMA AND TEXAS WANT TO BE CANNON FODDER FOR ALABAMA?
Leave the board prick. Texas is no longer a part of this. Time you left. The rumor is that their new contract included Texas and OU.
Go get my shoes, girlLeave the board prick. Texas is no longer a part of this. Time you left.
Get off your knees and get my junk out of your mouth then get your own shoes troll *****.Go get my shoes, girl
Yet here you are whining like a femaleGet off your knees and get my junk out of your mouth then get your own shoes troll *****.
No they don't. ESPN will tell WVU you're on your own hope you invested well.8 of the 10 teams in the Big 12 have to leave for the GOR to be removed
The 2 teams left out will be the two teams crying right now
TCU and Baylor
Kick back and relax because ESPN has to find WVU a new conference
So it's true. You are MichiganHerd and kingfold.Yet here you are whining like a female
Sorry Marshall fan.
WVU going to the CUSA
Dumb as a rock
No they don't. ESPN will tell WVU you're on your own hope you invested well.
Well your posted started great. Then you ended it like a pile dumb rocks.WVU now has to do two things IMO.
#1 hold out in the BIG 12 until all fees due from UT and OU are paid.
#2 At the same time--do everything possible to get the B10 and/or ACC interested in inviting WVU.
Many joined the OOC haters to create a negative of playing in conference with certain schools. Being forced to do that now would just be a recipe for disaster waiting for schools that can to depart. The money will go backwards significantly.
First people dissuaded BIG 12 schools from supporting expansion --now they are selling that this doesn't matter and WVU fans should just accept. Odd. Gives the impression there are some behind the scenes players on message boards.
So it's true. You are MichiganHerd and kingfold.
I'm not your lover but I'll tell him about your fantasy. No one cares, Greggor
1/10I'm not your lover but I'll tell him about your fantasy.
Only reason Baylor was in the Big XII to begin with, was due to Ann Richards. Similar thing with TCU. Of course, you already know that. They can’t because then they would have to wait for 2025
8 of the Big 12 schools have to find a new conference or the schools leaving will have to leave their media rights
Baylor and TCU aren’t R1 universities
Only non R1 university besides them in a P5 is in a similar position Wake Forest
Hanging off of UNCs nuts
When does USC enter the Big 12?1/10
You just sound like a female who can’t handle her emotions.
Back to my point.
ESPN tells UNC where they can sit to pee
Just like with every other conference for the most part the media companies are running **** now
ESPN doesn’t want to leave anything to chance.
The question becomes do they push WVU into the ACC or AAC
That's good for right now, but shortly later we will not be able to keep up cause the money won't be there with the AAC.I thought it was cool playing Texas and Oklahoma every year and I love the basketball conference as it is definitely the best league in the nation, but it’s time to start playing regional teams even if it’s in the AAC. We’ve made significant upgrades that makes us attractive especially since everyone’s going to go to super conferences anyway.
Let that sink in.
A live look at ACC HQ, discussing inviting WVU:
ESPN has destroyed College SportsRight now the BIG 12 is in the high 30 mil range plus third tier rights (UT $15 mil per year, OU around $7-$10 mil.
Experts had advised that the BIG 12 was in line to get 45-65% increases, which would have put them in that $60 mil per year range.
But recently ESPN/FOX Declined to renew BIG 12 contracts early (expire 2024-25). And OU let it be known they are pissed about getting so many 11am games (not sure that is going to change anywhere)
The SEC already did a deal (moved CBS games to ESPN/ABC) that will put them at between $60-$65 mil starting in 2025. Not clear if the SEC will be able to reopen that to get existing members more or much more.
But its strange with the playoff likely expanding. Maybe ESPN is trying to keep the playoff from expanding and wants 4 x16 to keep it from happening?
