When Clemson, UNC and FSU leave for the ESPN South and USC, NotreDame and Oregon leave for ESPN North, WVU might get a call to join the ACC, but I doubt it.

The only thing that would drive ACC expansion is Notre Dame, but Notre Dame has no interest. If they did change their mind and join the ACC, there's no evidence that the ACC would be compelled to add anyone else even then, and who knows who it would be--they've never shown interest in adding WVU as Oliver Luck and more recently Shane Lyons have told everyone.

The PAC 12s media negotiations could trigger some changes if they don't go the way they want. The Big Ten has the best TV ratings and is very savvy so they obviously will get paid--they may expand eventually.

My opinion, NotreDame will not join the ACC. Not enough money or power. They will hook up with the rest of the big boys and join the country club semi pro division.

I don't see ND joining the ACC either. I don't think they will join any conference but will always be included at the "big boys" table.

Unless the SEC/B10 can push out existing members don't see a country club semi pro division. Do see the P5 in a new division with different rules than current G5 schools.

There will be no SEC or Big 10 in the country club group. Conference names will stay with left overs.

I read this yesterday and scrolled until I seen WVU and Cincy in different divisions and I was out.

WVU, Cincy, UCF, TCU, OK st and Texas Tech

Houston, Baylor, KU, KST, BYU, Iowa st.

Simple
That makes more sense. 2 new on each side. Cincy & wvu within driving distance have to be in the same side.

This would be the best alignment IMO. Don't see WVU/Cincinnati needing to play each other every year in football.

I'd do it with:

Remaining/incoming Texas schools in each division
Two defectors in opposite divisions
Two new schools in each division
New schools are each others cross division rival
Four existing schools each division
Divided east/west with geography considered
Schools listed next to their cross division yearly opponent
