And there are no other domes or warm cities east of Vegas ? Gotcha.I think the Big 10 has came out and said the championship game will be indoors unless it’s held in a warm climate. Since this is the first opportunity to go to a warm climate for it they are checking it out.
They don’t want the game played in wintertime Weather like the Big 10 states have.
Where did you hear or read that? They didn’t solicit proposals anywhere in the eastern 85 % of the country.
I was referring to having it at Met Life or some of them stadiums. They talked about having it at Soldier Field a lot but the ADs said no. They want it in a controlled environment. That’s why they went to Indianapolis was because of some and location. They have discussed shifting it to Minneapolis some now too. Wherever they have it they want it indoors or where it’s warm in December. Even the SEC plays theirs indoors and they have a bunch of places I’m sure could/would host it.And there are no other domes or warm cities east of Vegas ? Gotcha.
Right. And they are looking into Vegas only for the sake of the 4 west coast teams, contrary to Al’s (usual) brain-dead comment.I was referring to having it at Met Life or some of them stadiums. Once more trying to turn college football into the mini NFL. Forget affordability, regional rivalries, tradition, the things that used to make college football different. They'll kill the goose that laid the golden egg. Too many people will be turned off and new people won't be turned on to a sports league tilted toward the same 5 programs every year.I think the Big 10 has came out and said the championship game will be indoors unless it’s held in a warm climate. It should be held in Pasadena on January 1st and called the Rose Bowl.
I probably speed read his comment or didn’t read it at all. I have a tendency to skip a lot of his “input “.Right. And they are looking into Vegas only for the sake of the 4 west coast teams, contrary to Al’s (usual) brain-dead comment.
Put another way, if not for those teams joining, they absolutely would not consider Vegas. Another absurd Al opinion.
