No one is lobbying for anything...
Like I said in the beginning they are the #1 target.
The president of WVU Gordon Gee is one of the ones pushing it.

Very good chance Stanford moves away from FBS football. Possibly disband their football program all together
They are really attempting to deemphasize football.
This is an issue at USC with their administration.
USC's student body has changed. There are third generation Trojans who can't get their children admitted into the university.
Some are upset by this because they believe their degree will always carry weight
Bigger is not Better in moving west,
when ultimate sacrifices overwhelm the seeming benefits.
Also, b12 in moving west
(as proposed here, hypothetically) could vote to remove/sacrifice newest members WVU/TCU, possibly-
maybe to take USC/UCLA, for example.
That would not be good. TCU would at least have a shot at PAC 12 with USC and UCLA gone.
Is that a fat joke?Looked up Lobby definition, and saw a picture you

Is that a fat joke?
Big 12 knows WV has to make the most of this. I don't think they would be ones of the schools removed.
There is no choice between the B1G and SEC. They have to make the most of this chance.
SEC doesn't consider WV a possible target. NC schools, VA schools, Oklahoma and Kansas.
B1G only takes AAU schools or schools who can easily get back into the AAU
Adding any school should be based on if it helps WVU.
USC is one of the few schools who do regardless.of location. Could be on the Moon.
USC is a National School
The Gov of Texas has a daughter who attended USC.
Actually USC is one of the few schools I have seen the Gov open up the mansion to.
National Schools and Regional Schools
WVU for them get be who they want to be needs to a National School.
Be careful what you wish for.
B12 could wax TCU/WVU,
and replace with USC/UCLA -
in a move west.
There is Zero reason for a west coast school to move to Midwest Conference - Zero,
Especially during a global PANDEMIC.
I'm sure Marines studied logistics.
Are we back on this again.
WVU should feel like they could get dropped every year. Because in reality their position in a Power Conference isn't for sure.
But WV deserves a school in their state in a Power Conference.
You have zero reasoning for anything you say.
You continue to repeat disproven things
Gets to a point where you can't handle reality and attempt to push your own..
That is exactly what you are doing here.
In most debates here, you are moving toward exchanging insults, when the subj poster is frustrated.
My angle is always
for betterment of WVU, no matter what.
West Virginia will stay as far east as practical, unless your proposal includes WVU hardly ever commuting to West Coast.
I do think the more you Lobby this topic,
The more you truly believe your conviction, but joining a West Coast conference is not in the cards for WVU, during a global PANDEMIC or anytime.
Foolish, impractical, short sided, selfish.
Especially selfish to the athletes that are involved- SELFISH
Just saying what is going on.
You are posting that it isn't happening and it makes zero sense.
I have wasted my time to show you where you are wrong but it comes to a point where we are going in circles.
I will give a final overview of everything
1. Any school not in the SEC and B1G is looking at their options.
2. Coronavirus is just a bump on the road of College Athletics. Will be quickly forgotten in a few years.
3. The problems in the PAC remain no matter what. The deemphasis of football in particular is a major topic. Does Stanford want to continue as a FBS school let alone a P5 school.
4. USC feels like they carry that entire conference. Recruits and Televisions. But they don't receive their fair share in revenue. They make the same as Oregon State.
USC bringing slabs of beef to the table.
Oregon Stats bringing a half eaten tomato
5. The structure of the Big 12 works for schools like USC
Ones who don't want to be independent and want to keep their revenue
For WVU...
Using this platform to improve their position.
This is practical. This is the only.choice they have.
No school in this country has the power to create their perfect conference.
What you have to do.is make use with what you have and attempt to improve it until you see a better opportunity.
Like with anything in life.
Hard to say that USC won't improve this conference.
Everything I have seen so far is irrelevant to the discussion.
Well actually you might have
made a point or 2, here VanHalen,
but why didn't you address my earlier recommendation to add Hawaii?
?If we expanding footprint, the why not Waikiki, and Honolulu?
I guess Texas AD,
didn't consider Hawaii.
Ps, none of your discussion makes any legitimate sense to West Virginia,
unless WVU departs b12.
Wink
Texas dolt doesn't know anything. USC to Big 12-2=10 is a smoke screen.
TVs are important
What if we remove the power in the conference and give even more to the school.
So teams can negotiate all their TV rights unlike just some.
