Great win for Murphy given the circumstances but this Franklin team is probably looking at another 3-4 losses based on what I say tonight. I definitely dont see them beating Pisgah or Hendersonville and they'll have there hands full with Smoky, Mitchell and Brevard.

East Henderson looks much improved, too. Honestly there doesn't look to be an easy game in the Mountain Six this year.

Everyone laughed at us for North Buncombe but they won 49-0 tonight . My braves looked much better and very balanced . Evans got going and our defense looked much better

North beating a Madison team with only 21 players dressed doesn't say much, we will see once they get into conference play, how much they have really improved. I honestly don't see Madison being within 30 points of anyone this season, and I really hate it for the kids who practice and show up everyday, and I am by no means a Madison fan, I just hate to see kids that put in the work, have to go through that.

They have 38 kids so not sure where you getting that number. And it might not be a vintage Franklin team but they will still win at least 6 or 7 games imo. I mean they beat a solid Asheville team by 8 last week lol

Franklin has mid to upper 30s on the team and they just put up 37 points on the Asheville Cougars last week.. Panthers probably not going 13-1 this year but still a very solid team. Murphy whipped Franklin last night. Across the board this in one of the most talented Murphy teams I've seen in awhile. That line will be scary good over the next few years.

I think they pulled up some kids, I know they have 4 freshman on varsity. But they also have 18 seniors so it balances out.

Smoky Mtn. is a good stinking team this year.

I think it is funny how we are more shocked to see a 10-3 team go 3-10 than we are a 3-10 go 10-3. I mean a perennial power house will have a down year and people will credit that. But a struggling team can’t put together a good season without people questioning how good their opponents actually are. Maybe Smoky and NB aren’t very good too early to tell but right now they have impressive wins against the defending SMC champs.

I whished Murphy was playing Smokey next week instead of Central Davidson but that's on Smokey. I agree that Smokey is legit this year.

I think it's foolish to say smokey isn't good at this point. I don't think Swain just had a bad night, I think there's definite reason for concern in Swain.
