Bilas coaching?

Any of you think Bilas will take a coaching gig sometime? I know many of us hate him, but he does have a good basketball mind. Maybe he likes what he's currently doing, but I can see him trying coaching if the right opportunity presents itself.

I think if he was going to jump back into coaching the time for that would've been 5-10 years ago. He's getting older now and his basketball mind isn't as great as some like to think. He use to be a lot sharper, now he very rarely offers any worthwhile insight.

no .. he was an assistant coach for a few years and decided he would rather do broadcasting instead.... He would be coaching for years now if that was something he was interested in

Exactly. He has a great gig and would be nuts to give that up to go into coaching.

He likes to push his opinion, not sure if that works with officials during the game. He’s all ready laughing all the way to the bank, he should continue to do that instead of coaching.

Bingo. He and his wife decided that coaching was not a family-friendly career. That’s why he got a law degree while being an assistant coach.

Exactly my thought when I read the OP's question. He's got a good thing going right now with no pressure and ESPN thinks he walks on water so I doubt he's going to ever leave that voluntarily.
