This might work out good because Stokes probably won’t play the rest of the season either. Pope should cut ties today and say that our offer has been rescinded.

I'm not in for mid-major players but imo Stokes was never coming here.
He was using us like a rented mule.
I really think we will get some high level players. The Stokes kid didn't rock my world. He's good but there are others in the portal that are good as well.
If I'm wrong about him and he comes to UK, I think he will be a problem for us just based on his primadonna attitude.
I mean, I wouldn't bet my house on it, but nobody really knows how Pope will do next year, we don't even know who will he on the roster yet. Saying right now, at this point in time, that it doesn’t look like he will have a good year, is really premature.
I said this in another thread. I certainly don't want to lose out on #1 in win count. But damn, do we even deserve to stay #1? We're certainly not doing a whole lot about it, not winning enough on our end. We've been hearing this for like 4 years now that teams like Kansas and UNC are gaining on us, maybe we deserve to lose this record? Maybe that will wake some people up within the program.
I don't know.. Trying to hold on to a record by means of hoping other teams have bad seasons and therefore can't catch us.. just another indictment on where this program is.

This rollercoaster has given the Doom Patrol numerous times to b1tch and moan over the past year. This is about the third time we have seen fans who once said Stokes would never come here complain about Stokes not coming to UK. Th Groundhog Day continues!!
