KB is a completely different player than Travis was.

Travis was a below the rim player that couldn't shoot, Kerry Blackshear is an above the rim player that proved his worth in the ACC.

Big difference between both players.

I'm not sure why the NBA didn’t give him a look, he's a Draymond Green type player, or could be.

I think the Kentucky effect could make a difference with Kerry. It could get him a first round pick in 2020.

The question is, how hard does he work to get it? He's losing very valuable time right now.

We would love to see the kid be a first round pick, but in reality, we really only care how he does at UK.

Travis was PAC 12 POY. He wasn't featured player at UK. Both Travis and Blackshear can still get to the NBA. Travis as a free agent and Blackshear can improve his game enough next year at UK to get into the 2nd round at least.

Kerry Blackshear is 22 years old and has been all ACC and coached by one of the best coaches in the country. He's had teammates drafted. He's played against several lottery picks.

Nothing is going to happen for him in 9 months that is going to make him a high draft pick. He is who he is.

His choice will be (or should be) about which place will prepare him best for the road he's going to have to take to make it in the league. I think our program has proven itself there. But if we're selling Blackshear magic beans, he'll go somewhere that doesn't feed him ********.

He’s reportedly down to three schools...UK, A&M, and Tennessee. Was never interested in Memphis, that was all rumor.

So now it looks like the visit is set,kinda thinking TexAM will get the last..If he is actually considering them..

I know Cal had camps all last week...but I wonder if the plan was always to have him visit right before the NBA draft so he could be reminded of all the UK success with NBA careers under Cal. Hard not to notice he will be on campus the day before the draft.

I check this board pretty frequently, and I don't recall any post saying that Blackshear was going to visit U.K. this weekend. But ... that's just me.

It's kind of weird how those are his three choices. I honestly think Florida is still in it, but still. Why isn't Duke, UNC***, Texas Tech etc… involved?

To me, it seems like it should be a slam dunk, one of the schools on his list is sitting there blinking like a New England lighthouse.

I know we have seen a lot of head scratching decisions by high school kids, but I would be surprised if we see KB make a bad decision here given the situation he is in.

Writer says TN needs him the worst. He plays the same amount of minutes here as he does there. Too good to have off the floor. No bigs close to him on our roster. Yet, he would have quality bigs to practice and play with, unlike TN.

On Kentucky Basketball Recruiting report it's said that he's visiting UK Tuesday and committing to UK on Wednesday but at best I'd take that with a grain of salt, they were saying we had Mcdaniels too.

UK Facebook page said the same thing and that Memphis was actually paying players according to his sources!
