I understand.

I think my post history will show I’ve always tried to be respectful.
So, why the issue? I think it’s human nature to distrust anonymous information - and my screenname is no accident.
And any negative information from a hidden source will get deserved pushback.
I was a laughing stock when I said early that Bamba would play for Shaka, and was less than popular after stating Scottie Lewis was Florida bound.

In those type situations- it’s no- win. If I’m correct - no one wants to hear it, and for good reason. And if something turns, as happens in recruiting, I’m sure to get skewered. I don’t think I’ve missed on a recruiting call yet (though only commented on a handful), but I did have PJ in the nba last year!

Anyway, I don’t think any of us will have to wait much longer.

Some are getting awful arrogant and could be in for a big let down if he picks somewhere else after he visits UK. I’m sure he will take a few days after last visit and go through pros and cons of each school. Hope he picks UK but some on here need some humility.

Spot on! I just don't understand the foolishness that goes on here. A lot of good info has been withheld because of this very thing.

Cal's had three grad transfers at Kentucky far as i know, hoping Blackshear will make it a fourth. But i have my doubts about him coming here, especially since he added Memphis to the mix..

I’ve said that I am not a Kentucky fan in the way most here are fans. I have ties to sec, and this is its most active online community.

But I need to be better at remembering the passion of the fans here, and post accordingly.

As you can see, I jumped back into this conversation after being kinda called out. I don’t want that reputation. I’d rather just read and post. And stay out of the fray. Can’t do that while commenting on recruiting and the like!

I'm not calling you out as much as I am just asking do you still feel as confident that FL has him wrapped up even as he continues to go on more visits? It's not like he is a young kid looking for attention. It seems more like he hasn't found what he is looking for yet to me if he is really burnt out on the process because the easy play would be to just stay home and go to FL. So how do you feel about Blackshear to UF? Still feel he is UF bound? Still feel like they are even in consideration?

If he comes here Cal will have him playin' defense. If I was lookin' to up my draft status, and was known for being average at defense, I'd want coaching from the top defensive coach in the country, Cal.

The thing is, the NBA doesn’t care if you can play defense in college, they just need to know if you are mobile enough to be taught the way they want you to play

Even AD needed to be polished when he got there.

Blackshear is no enforcer on defense. He isn't much of a rim protector.

I bet if he comes here, Montgomery plays the 5 and Blackshear plays the 4, especially on defense. Blackshear does not block or alter shots very well.

On offense, I think they would be interchangeable, with both guys playing in the post at times and on the perimeter sometimes.

He wasn't a defensive enforcer because VT didn’t defend that way. If he comes to UK, watch how fast he learns how to come over from the weak side and block shots.

There aren't many programs out there that teach rim protection like UK does.

I think KB will be similar to RT, an experience post player who might never be an elite player, but he'll never suck or make big mistakes. He's added security, another big body we can use, and he will help us greatly as the team figures out an identity in the early goings.

The biggest difference between the two is RT was more of a below the rim Bull, KB plays above the rim. KB is closer to PJ than he is RT.

I stopped posting after getting direct requests to stop. Feel free to check the post history. I’m sure my recent silence will not deter people from telling me I’m wrong should this go differently than I had posted. Nor should it deter that response, as I have not offered any differing opinion here.

I play the lottery. I assure you - I am a very poor guesser, and one certainly not capable of “guessing” Kerry would be a transfer (and uk would be involved) well before it happened.

Thanks. I am a Florida fan, but in the same sense I am a fan of other conference teams. For me, it is staff related. I like White and his guys a lot so they are high on my list now. Lol.
But it can shift fast. I really liked both Mark Fox and Billy Kennedy. I’m not a Crean fan and don’t really know much of Buzz.

If you are limiting yourself to what you will and won't post in a civil manner, based off of the actions or expressions of a vast minority on here, then you are being controlled by them. That would literally be a defining component of being controlled.

This guy obviously wants the attention, or he wouldn't keep coming back and doing things that obviously garner him more attention. He reminds me very much of the Coach guy that used to post here a lot. Many people bought into him for a while and he had like 2000 likes to 200 post. It was crazy. He too would always go on about how he did not want attention and how he was going to quit posting here because of the flack a few posters gave him. Come to find out, he was not at all connected and was just here to get attention and start drama. I get the same vibe from this guy.

I've seen many rival fans come here and be treated respectfully and have respect from many fellow posters. If you come here and act respectful, you will very likely be treated similarly by the vast majority here.

Only thing I disagree with is you won't see too many opposing fans get banned here. It takes a lot. Some trolls do. (I define a troll as someone who claims to be a UK fan but NEVER posts or states anything positive toward UK. Every post is nearly anti-UK.)
