Nah. Just forces those pieces of **** to tighten the defenses around a more localized area, leaving other potential hotspots more exposed. I really don't expect DT to have much success in there early. He'll play it cool at first in order not to draw fire. What I want is for them to have to spend more time and resources guarding their honey hole.

Tighten up, klucks. Tighten up.

A congratulations call or text is called for from his Ole Miss buddy. Maybe he can drop a quick thank you off to Carla and the kids when he goes to visit his parents this weekend.

TsunBearhunter, I don't think I've seen too many cases where somebody took a big

dump and fell back in it quite like he did on this one. I am anxiously awaiting his
return**.

hold your horses on that....

Word starting to make the rounds that Wilson took the Georgia job, told Mullen, so Mullen made Collins the DC for the bowl game

If true, it means I wasnt wrong about Mullen keeping Wilson

Yep, Wilson willingly took a demotion at another school. Keep it up, peachboy.

Wilson had had enough of Mullen- there's no secret about how much of an *** Mullen is. And the pay at Georgia was about the same

Not saying it's 100%- but that's the word

Mullen wasn't the only coach Wilson didn't get along with very well. Given that and the fact that the MSU fans had sort of turned sour on him and his defensive schemes (we already heard the story of his wife getting into it with fans at the TA&M game) its certainly not shocking that he would have been looking around.

You and Coach in a death match where both of you die? That seems harsh. I would miss one of you.

exactly- and as my guy said:

"If Collins had been making calls during practices- that would have leaked out. The players would have started talking way before gameday. Wilson took the job a day or two before the bowl game, it pissed Mullen off and he made Collins DC for the game as one last '17 you' to Wilson"

So I was wrong but I wasn't wrong because my "sources" that were wrong are now telling me that they weren't quite wrong.

Wilson, it is my understanding that Wilson was offered a head coaching position

job at a small college which got the ball rolling. The Georgia thing came in late.

The Marcello tweet from last Saturday morning when the news actually broke supports this theory:

Chris Wilson has not returned my messages this week. Chatter of him in running for Georgia DL job started Tuesday at Gator Bowl.

I see myself more as Marcus Aurelius. A benevolent dictator who only wanted the best for his people, murdered by a younger family member who then led a once proud empire into a period of decay.

Id imagine we may have seen the last of the co-def coord title.

Collins was being offered or was about to be offered the Georgia Tech Defensive Coordinator job? I don't know what a DT job is.
