Hit the portal and say bye to a lot of the current roster. There is so little all around talent compared to most of the big. Grinding out games with so little offense leaves no room for error. Paul Cliff Andre Cam are just not a winning core.

yep. needs a makeover big time. Next year will be interesting because we have a great 2024 class coming in so we probably can’t take a lot of multiple year guys. I guess we’ll see who leaves but this team needs a serious overhaul of skill and talent
I'm confused, PSU is breaking up after this year already most guys are out of eligibilty.
Minnesota and Nebraska have more talented players. Just worse coaching jobs. We have decent (not great but not terrible) coaching but just no talent. Can’t totally blame anyone, 4 years ago we were on a 30 year NCAA drought so amazing anyone came here at all and then gave us 3 NCAA quality seasons in a row (maybe 4 if we pull it out).
Everyone was in the convo for a big 10 championship. U gotta win all season to get it. We didn't.
Pike has to hit the portal hard and bring kids i who can create their own shots. We have 1 - Simpson. An Offensive Consultant would be a good staff addition as well
RU 2022-23 never found the points to replace Baker and Harper on a consistent basis. I was pleasantly surprised at the first 2/3rds of the season. The last 1/3 was what I expected.
I think the one positive from this collapse will be that Pike won’t be so nice and loyal with some players this off season like he as in the past. This may push some players out the door so he can make room for some much needed talent in the portal.
Besides offense he never properly replaced Jay Young who was instrumental in coaching our bigs and boy does it show Cliff while his stats have improved he still has zero offensive game and is also downright terrible on defense and has very very little basketball IQ
