I have never said Briles committed a criminal act, my prior post used it as an analogy. It isn't that I dislike Briles, he may be a decent guy and he can clearly coach. My issue is he gambled on some players and it ended up biting him in the butt, not to mention the tragic consequences some young ladies suffered. It is also clear that he and/or his assistants were not proactive enough in handling some very serious situations. He has shown terrible judgment in several ways in this mess and now many on here want to repeat the gamble he took but this time with him. It's the same gamble. "I know X is really good and has a questionable past, but he can help us win. I think we can keep him under control here". The liability isn't worth the risk. Briles should have reached that conclusion with several of his players, Sam in particular. Almost every school WILL reach that conclusion with him. I can't respond about Jones as I haven't looked into it at all.

You lost credibility when you state you can't respond about Jones because you haven't looked into it yet you're from Georgia and Tennessee is sandwiched in between us. You know more about Baylor than UT doesn't hold water, or in court :eek:kay:

Did it ever occur to you that I may have actually read up on Briles and I simply have not with Jones. I am from Kentucky, I just live in this hell hole. I thought you were a better poster than that.

In reading about it a little, there are similarities and differences. More needs to come out regarding the phone calls. If the traitor issue is true then he isnt much different than Briles. On its face Jones seems to have acted as he should have but I'm sure you know more about it than i.

Yeah, you need to walk away because you're getting too worked up and making out to be something it's not.

If UK ever wants to win big at this FB game, they are going to have go after a proven coach that they would normally have no shot at. Unless it's a guy who is far removed from his prime then it is going to have to be someone who has screwed up.

Again, if you are Ms. Morals, then accept being a perennial cellar dwelling or be offended someone finally having the sack to hire a Petrino/Briles/Tressel.

But you have to agree if Briles is our only choice, we are Louisville, without the campus ***** house.

Larry, did u read the report?....families came to him and he turned them away...saying that maybe they were over reacting...very sad....he should have been helping these girls seek help with authorities instead became more worried about winning football games
So he has to help people call 911 when there's been a rape? What have you been smoking, come on you can tell us.

If someone commits a crime against me I'm nit calling the police, I'm calling that person's boss. That makes total sense.
