Someone should really set up a GoFundMe or one of those text donation things to make donating to a football coach really easy. I'm sure the fanbase could raise $5mm pretty easily if it became very easy and viral.

Will be interesting to see how both those teams (and Houston) finish out and who is in the running for them.

No shot at Fuente and Rhule would never agree to a huge buyout if he wanted to go home to PSU. Any AD worth their salt would demand that in a contract.

You don't know until you try call them up and see what happens. Take a loan on future earning.. You have to do SOMETHING.

Rhule is going to demand a big payday, which he will get. No way Rutgers outbids other power 5 conference schools, not our history. We would also have to pay his buyout, he just signed an extension with Temple. Then there is the staff. He probable would only come here if he could bring Snow and that would be another pretty penny. Love to have him, but this administration is not going to pay top dollar for the hot national coaching prospect.

I don't think Rhule leaves, as I think he'll have a buyout plan that makes it so he can bounce for PSU if it opens up and no school would do that. Fuente is going to get a big time job.

What is the deal with your admin? Are you guys simply broke? No booster support?

I mean, does Julie H. want to win or is it simply lip service?

Not getting Rhule. South Carolina.USC, Miami and Maryland are all open. Virginia is probably more enticing.

If Penn State can win one more game this year, Franklin's seat isn't warm and he has a job through at least 2017. Rhule shouldn't wait around if he has a legit option available. I'm also not sure if Rhule would get the PSU job if it were to open tomorrow. I could be off base, but that is my opinion.

Lots of folks think Golden gets UVA gig. God help the Cavs if that is the case. Why anyone would hire him with that anchor around his leg is beyond me. He has never given himself the chance to be a successful coach...I can't understand it.

We're broke and we have a president who is a short timer, who is extremely poor at crisis management (see the Rice scandal when he should have either gotten rid of Rice right away or once that happened Pernetti right away). Hermann wants to win but she's hamstrung by the presidency.

The school is not broke ... but we don't win so the money/fan support isn't there for athletics.

^^^^ That's a leadership problem IMO. Sometimes you've gotta have the moxie to spend the money and bet on the come.

Forget it. Rutgers Athletics is being run by Moe Larry and curly. Just the way Chris Christie wants it.

I would donate to a GOFUNDME to pay for a new coach. I think if we as the fans put together a significant amount of money that would really make a statement.

Who would be custodian of the donation monies though? Would have to be a way for the donors not to get ripped off.
