Fortunately, the best Asian golfer ever will not be playing in this. He's still trying to recover from steroid abuse.

I would like to see JB win, but this is not a big hitters type of course, more of a precision iron player type layout.

Nice round by Poulter. I would actually like to see him win it. I know a lot of people don't like him but the way he treats the Ryder Cup makes me like him. I know he is on the other team but I can tell how much it means to him. I wish some of the US players would have the same attitude about it.

I used to like Poulter, for same reasons you stated. But he's an insufferable jackass on his twitter feed so I hope he never wins again.

I really enjoyed that book. Steve Duplantis, his caddy, was heavily featured in the book. He's the caddy that got run over by a taxi and killed back in 08.

Limited to modern times, last 40 years or so I will say:

British - Todd Hamilton, although Van de Velde would have topped him. Would have said Paul Lawrie, but he made the Euro Ryder Cup team last year . . .
US Open - Lucas Glover (Andy North a close 2nd, although if you win it twice, hard to say it was a fluke)
PGA - YE Yang (1st time EVER that Tiger had coughed up a Sunday lead in a major, and has not won one since)
Masters - Larry Mize comes immediately to mind, although Trevor Immelman has been a goner for many years now as well. Think he had a ton of injuries

Ian Baker-Finch British Open in 1991. In 4-5 years, his game was so far gone that he couldn't make any cuts.
