Maybe the Ionger she stays she'll gain some humility and respect.
Let's look at some more positives of her being locked up in a Russian jail. She has been "drug free" since the day of her arrest. If they keep her another 10 or 20 years it may add years to her life and she will not OD as a druggie.

Good things can happen out of bad.

Liberals have a hard time with law and order to begin with. Griner's situation is no different to them, despite her being in a communist country.

We all want her to return safely, and hopefully that happens soon, along with her having a different appreciation for the country that has allowed her to be very wealthy, and very free.
Conservatives do too based off their behavior on January 6 and their continued support and/or denial of it along with their regular far right extremist violence.

I don’t post for approvals. I have more than my share of disagreements but I expect that. Just seems like you ALWAYS take the opposite viewpoint just to stir it up. But it’s a message board so I guess you’re free to do that.
Do you really expect a message board to all agree on anything?

I just read an article that said she wore a Nirvana tie-dye T shirt to her trial. Now, benefit of the doubt that she only had the clothes she wore over there, but if not that’s a stupid move.
Suppose it could have been worse. Like Drake, Lil Wayne, Taylor Swift, or The Backstreet boys.

Doubt she gets much ****** in Russia, as well.
For the record I've had some awesome times on drugs.

Actually, my response was he should not have messed with the flag. I also had a similar response for the ones hiking in Iran. There are many other situations where people made poor choices and paid for it. Griner should not get special treatment because of who she is.
It was a propaganda poster. Not a flag. If it even happened.

My opinion? Let her rot.
When as Americans did we become so cruel? Let that hate go brother.

Also some of you need to understand she isn't being held prisoner as a means of law and order. She's being held prisoner because she's American. Some of you are speaking on things you don't understand. Which seems to be a trend for those who are engulphed in political rhetoric and mindless "go team" party banter.

Here's a little tidbit for you....had she not broken their law, she wouldn't be there.

As I said before....libs have a difficult time understanding this entire break the law/do the time concept.

Who are "the libs?"

I'm not sure what your team affiliation has to do with an American being held captive. Again this has less to do with a small amount of THC and more with the fact that she is American and they were fully prepared to use her as a bargaining chip.

If she was white, straight and tweeted crazy **** about the election being stolen, I bet y'all would be protesting in the streets about her being held captive.

No one deserves to be shackled like a mass murderer over a pot charge.

It seems she had an illegal substance, to which she pleaded guilty and her family said was for a medical condition. Now, her value as an admitted violator of Russian law may make her a value to Russian officials because she is an American, but, as the story has been told, being an American is not why she is being held.

This. It is illegal there...so if I am dumb enough to go to Russia in the first place for work or vacation, you better believe I am going to be a choir boy while there for the extent of my stay.
