When as Americans did we become so cruel? Let that hate go brother.

Also some of you need to understand she isn't being held prisoner as a means of law and order. She's being held prisoner because she's American. Some of you are speaking on things you don't understand. Which seems to be a trend for those who are engulphed in political rhetoric and mindless "go team" party banter.
A big percent of Americans have always been cruel. They just needed someone who was so filled with hate and anger and ignorance to bring it out in them and make it ok to be that way in public. They found their fake god and worship at his feet.

We hope it's only at his feet. Many of them seem enamored with other "things".

It seems she had an illegal substance, to which she pleaded guilty and her family said was for a medical condition. Now, her value as an admitted violator of Russian law may make her a value to Russian officials because she is an American, but, as the story has been told, being an American is not why she is being held.
If she were not American this would be a non-issue. She’s being held there because she’s an American.

1/6 is your biggest nightmare, but months of looting, burning and murder by BLM was completely cool for you. Unarmed people in the capital versus armed thugs millions of dollars in damage and dozens of confirmed murders as a direct result of those riots... Ed says, 1/6 is WAY worse. Dems have done similar things to 1/6 on multiple occasions and and I just cant simply remember one tear you wept. You are a fraud.

I agree that we would not be talking about Russia enforcing its laws except that she is an American; however, I have not seen anything that suggests Russia does not otherwise enforce this drug law. If you have seen it, I am interested. Otherwise, she was prosecuted because she broke the law. There were other Americans probably playing in that league and in the country who were not prosecuted.

The Cole person referenced law breaking. On 1/6 many laws were broken. Those people need punished. I’m 100% for that. You should applaud me for being tough on criminals.

Cannabis in Russia is illegal. Possession of up to 6 grams (or two grams of hashish) is an administrative offense, punishable by a fine or detention of 15 days. Possession of larger amounts is a criminal offense.

She had a cartridge in a vape pen. I get it’s cute to play ignorant but she is being held as a criminal for an administrative offense in order to get an exchange for murders and arms dealers.

It isn’t difficult to understand yet so many who struggle to read are trying to talk about something they can not comprehend. It’s mind blowing how ignorant some people can be in order to cape for their favorite political teams. “Go team”

If it were Toby Keith or Kid Rick it would be a different thread.

That's not a country based on western courts. Russia pretty much does what it wants.

So the if they’re going to go beyond upholding the standard to get a couple of international terrorists released call it like it is. Don’t say some ******** ***** footed thing like “law and order do the crime do the time.”

If you feel like America’s standards are not up to par and we should do the same then stand up and say that.

The right in America is at fault that some left leaning lesbian got busted in Russia. This is hilarious.
Probably why trump loves Putin so much.
Awhhhh who gives a flying **** about your right or left? Both of you. Sorry as hell. We are talking about an Americans life being held up over Russian corruption and all of you want to argue for your ******* political teams.

Baseless *** conversations built around your need to be right about something. You mfs are what’s wrong with this country. None of you have anyones best interest at heart except your own. Always trying to force others into believing what you believe. It’s so damn exhausting.

Dude, I am not sure why you feel the need to say things like “it’s cute to play ignorant.” Why are you so invested? Seems this is personal for you.

I don’t know how much she was caught with. You are acting like an expert in Russian law now. And, you are acting as if you know how much drugs she was carrying. You have an opinion without much support.

Articles on the matter said she could be imprisoned for 10 years. It appears she was caught with more than you claim.

She was caught with a vape pen. It’s that simple. She could be imprisoned for 10 years because for one we have people like you who refuse to support Americans because of what seems to be some illogical political bias and for two they want to hold her until we give them something of substance back.

It’s odd that you would trust the Russian government over the complaints from an American family. Very odd.

also yes…it’s very personal to me that Americans get taken care of.

No. She was caught with vape cartridges. Plural. You are talking out your *** here and are acting like a petulant child.

How about we do this. Let Russia keep her and enforce whatever punishment they feel appropriate and we will keep the murderers and arms dealers and punish them as we feel appropriate.

Everybody wins and everybody gets a trophy for fairness.

She also wasn't charged with possession. She was charged with smuggling which seems to be completely unreasonable charges based on what she had which leads even more credence to Ryan's point.

I think they should let her come home. It’s a human beings life being used for political gamesmanship. I know somebody who would probably have had her home long before now whose name we only utter in whispers.

The only reason I come to Florida is to support Disney just to piss off people like you.
I don't have a problem with that. Disney is a containment area for liberals and now that they are paying their fair share of taxes, my taxes went down. So fly down, spend a few thousand dollars with Mickey and go back home.

How is that for a compromise? We aim to please down here.

Aim to please unless you are gay/trans, an immigrant, or a pregnant woman.

My g-g-g-grandmother, my g-g-grandmother, my g-grandmother, my grandmother, my mother and my wife were all pregnant in Florida and give birth to healthy children. They were pleased to give birth and thanked God for His blessings.

It is no disgrace to be pregnant and not kill your child. Try it

Forcing your viewpoints on others is not aiming to please. Those were your words. Regardless, this thread was about Griner and her situation being held essentially as a political prisoner. The charges and what she had prove that to be factual.

It is fault of Americans that Griner is possibly facing 10 years in prison on a drug charge. Yup. People posting on this board are responsible. That is supreme illogic.
