it looks like you were quoting people who say they don't change their unis and was giving a link to show that they do.....how would sarcasterisks support that??
Faceebook has a post stating that "Bama is changing unis". I click link to see. All that I picked up was the "alabama" on the back. I read the comments section and laugh at all the "I love/hate them" comments. I post on sixpack with the ever popular "bu bu but..." header. Get balls busted for making said post... Maaaybe you're reading to deep into my original post.
The link is great because it makes the point that clown suits are for the classless. The comments are extensive and tout the fact that the new unis protect tradition while modernizing. The photos on the link highlight the special accessories that Saban once noted in a radio interview that the players love to get. Here's a copy/paste of a sample comment from the link:

While these particular uniform changes aren't monumental, the baseline idea put forth on the board ad-nauseum that winning programs would NEVER alter their uniforms isn't exactly true.
Also laughable (it's not in this thread, but has been thrown out there before) is the notion that extensive uni changes are an Adidas-centric trend and Nike (Nike? NIKE!!!) would never do such a thing to teams' traditions.
And I haven't even touched on the whole we-lost-BECAUSE-of-our-uniforms thing.

I don't think anybody claimed that uniforms should never be changed, even year to year; it's the outlandish black jerseys, special uniforms for "special" games, etc., that folks object to ... and the sentiment or appearance of overemphasizing a single game. Personally, I'm for having one home uniform and one away uniform. That way, it's truly a "uniform" ... not a non-uniform that changes almost weekly and even includes colors other than our school colors.
For what it's worth, I can't tell much difference in the Alabama uniform. About the only thing I can see is that they used to look like a plain sweatshirt, and these actually look more like a football uniform. I'd be happier if they chose a color that wasn't so near maroon though ... more toward red would be better, I think, and closer to what "crimson" really is.
