First of all, you ungrateful heathens, Buc-ees is the Mecca of gas stations. Secondly, their food is phenomenal and the jerky is, as Matt Rhule would say, elite. Thirdly, what other gas stations can you take pictures with the mascot?!?’ Fourthly, if you don’t want it, we’ll gladly take that one and 50 more down here in the south where we appreciate five star gas stations that lack meth hookers. (Although, that meth hooker comes in handy in a pinch!) Fifthly, like woman beater Chris Brown once said “i don’t see how you can hate from outside the club, you can’t even get in.” Sixthly, don’t let Will Compton hear you goons talking poorly about the gas station mecca. Seventhly, it is not a truck stop because semi trucks are not allowed at buc-ees. Eighthly, I’ll be honest i just wanted to see how many “ly’s” can go after a number before spellcheck starts questioning it. I didn’t know “eighthly” was a word. Ninthly, and most importantly, GO BIG RED!
Tenthly, Iowa sucks

That interstate exit/entrance for that location is already a mess. Would guess a new bridge over the interstate is in the works or at least I hope so.
Is that the exit with all the shopping on the north side of the Interstate? If it is that is where I get off and drive a mile or two north to a Runza when I fly into Omaha from Seattle on my way down to Lincoln. The flight gets in mid-afternoon, and I am always hungry by the time the plane lands.

Yes it is. When you get off the exit with the outlets, the runza is up ahead on the left. They’ve really developed that area from when I was last living there in 2021. I was very impressed when I swung by in October for the USC game.

..i mean no offense to you personally i swear, but is there a more proud group of foodies that Texans and BBQ? You can get great BBQ everywhere, but for some reason Texans are sure that as soon as you cross their state line its not as good. But I love the passion, because i'm just as passionate about some things as ya'll are about the BBQ down there.

In fairness, Texas has by far the most Michelin and James Beard award winning BBQ places in the country. And it's not even close.

You might be able to "get great BBQ" a small handful of other places one off here and there, but Texas has the mother load.

It's exit 432, the same exit to Nebraska Crossing, the Flying J Car/Truck stop (which will be adjacent to Buc-ees), the Holy Family Shrine, Highways 6 and 31, and Schram Park.

Yeah, they're very overrated. Fine as far as gas stations go, but it's a f*cking gas station. Never understood the cult following. I guess there are just a ton of simple people in this world who are super impressed by stuff like that.
Not the appeal to me, but I understand it's gift/merchandise store also is very appealing to many women.

Really? What kinda back woods, hickass, redneck woman shops at a gas station?
You honestly have to see it - saying it’s just a gas station is a wild take. They are awesome and I mentioned it before but their bathrooms are huge and are always spotless. It’s quite an operation.

In 1983 I passed on a chance to buy a 1200 square foot building on a large commercial lot (think it was over a acre)for 50K at the first intersection off of that exit. Wonder what’s on that now and what it would be worth today. 🤔
In the mid 60-s two or three guys at my dads work asked him to go in on 20 acres in the Old Mill area. He didn't, told my mom they were insane, Omaha would never grow that far west.

I've never been to one myself but I've been told by several women friends who have that they love it and can spend a lot of money there. I think people are making a mistake if they think of it as just an ordinary gas station. I concluded that it has it's own unique personality, not for everyone but does have an almost cult-like following with some.

I've never been to a buc ees personally. I have a daughter that lives in Texas and she LOVES them. Have gotten several Christmas gifts from there over the years and my wife comments on how cool they are. Lots of different nic nak specialty items and great prices plus unique other products. Kinda looking forward to seeing it near gretna.

One would think it's only a matter of time until there's one in Lincoln. HOWEVER, Lincoln is controlled by a handful of power brokers and if they don't want it or are threatened by it, it won't happen

On I-25 between Greeley and Loveland.

Also trying to locate one south of the Denver metro, but it's running into a lot of resistance.
I have a cousin in Breckenridge, one in the country at the homeplace east of Parker, another in Calhan east of the Springs and my deceased cousin lived in Aurora so I haven't been north except for Boulder (Husker games) in years. My dad graduated from college in Greeley.
