So we will have radio only on KTC and no video streaming anywhere else?
Pretty sure radio only. Unfortunately I think video is a thing of the past now. Atleast in terms of KTC doing it. Schools may choose to do their own video I'd imagine.

WE APOLOGIZE! But out of our Control. We had numerous phone calls last night and today wanting to know why we didn't carry the Shelby/Kings Mountain game on WOHS last night. BELIEVE ME! We wanted to. HOWEVER, once again this season Kings Mountain High School is banning local radio station coverage so people are forced to tune to the PAY PER VIEW videocast of their games. I even checked with Athletic Director Matt Bridges this past week to see once more if we could do the game. Unfortunately it was out of his hands. There is nothing we can do. I'm not sure how you find these PAY PER VIEW games. I tried four times with my credit card last night to watch and all I could get was NO CONNECTION TO WEBSITE. I'm not sure what was going on. I think my credit card was good...lol. To voice your concerns I suggest contacting Kings Mountain High School at 704-476-8330. It may be something the Cleveland County School Board may want to address. I do want to say THANK YOU to Crest, Burns and Shelby to continue to allow radio coverage of their games and we THANK YOU and our sponsors for your listenership and support. Next Friday join us for the Crest/Burns game.

It's a shame how this has gone. The deal with KTC was good stuff. Each school had their own broadcast team that was familiar with the school, history, players. They were invested in their community. Was it on the biased side, of course, it was their teams broadcast. Like listening to the Panthers on the radio. Its not the same like watching a national broadcast. Some people don't realize the time that is dedicated during the week to hopefully bring you something that is enjoyable and informative. It's not as simple as just bringing somebody in and sitting them down in front of a Mic. People were not going to games because of streaming. The people that were going were doing it anyway. The biggest part of a streaming audience are people at other games, out of town, no longer live in the area, etc. Just sad.

Totally agree....KTC spoiled us the last few years. I would guess it was the best thing going in the state for promoting high school athletes. Now i could listen to a game in 1985 easier than i can now ,...very sad for the community and the kids.

No question Cleveland County had the best coverage in the state those years.
