Current Hibriten schedule has them @ Shelby September 10th this coming fall. The new conference they plan to be in will be much more competitive for Hibriten and this match up will add to their non conference schedule. They also added Hunter Huss next fall too.

I think Hibritens conference schedule hurt them in this game. They didnt have the chance to be challenged in any non conference games, and I would be this was the first game their starters played in the second half. Also probably the first time they got hit back. Not their fault with the way things were this year. It just didnt do any favors, while Burns got tested probably 5 of 7 games.

And that was one of my biggest concerns going into the game.... And as I told a lot of people last night after the game the pressure of being in close games helped Burns while our players and coaching staff struggled in that environment

I haven’t seen or heard a schedule for fall yet but that has been one of my biggest complaints the last several years was the non-conference scheduling for Hibriten so I would be very pleased that they have went out and tried to improve on that situation

This is exactly why I detest this new conference us and Shelby are going into next season.

Yeah good game and much respect to Burns! Yall have a tough team! But Hibriten most definitely need to be searching for an Offense coordinator! This guy has not put together a solid offense in the 12yrs they been winning! Misplaced talent everywhere! But big up to Burns!

Appreciate the kids and the coaches at Hibriten I enjoy getting to watch some competitive ball teams. When I was a kid Hibriten lost 27 straight. Strength of Schedule will be much better next year and we'll get to watch more than 1 good ball game.

Historically, they don’t tend to schedule a “challenging” non conf slate (outside the one year Butler came to Lenoir when they were the top dog in Charlotte).

I definitely understand the point you’re trying to make and it’s got some merit, but our schedule has been garbage for 5,10,15 years now. They’ve won a state title, made numerous deep runs in the playoffs, and been bounced early. It’s a mixed bag.

Some years it’s just not meant to be.

2 weeks ago Burns was complaining about there OC after the Crest game. Shelby has been complaining about their DC all year. It is what it is. There's something to be said for a consistent coaching staff that wins more than they lose. Most teams don't have that.

I do think there is talent sitting that should be playing. I really question some of the play calling on offense Friday night, but we really got outplayed by a team that was better prepared for a challenging game. I agree that our schedule has hurt us due to the lack of getting hit back, a lack of defensive opposition that challenged us to score and simply playing hard for 4 quarters. I believe that a more difficult schedule coming up will better prepare our team for the playoffs.
