Crest seems well on the way to a win tonight. They have all the momentum now and a 14 point lead

Although the game was “closer than the score” it was a big thumping. Burns defense stayed on the field wayyy to much, sometimes for their own mistakes in missed tackles. Offense has to be able to move the ball. We know beaver calls run run deep ball and when he isn’t doing that we know Cams hand is bothering him. Mauney should have gotten solid time tonight. We have a big game next week and if Cam can’t play he don’t need to step in with the season on the line. I just don’t get decisions sometimes. But hey I’m a fan not a coach. Congrats to the chargers and best of luck the rest of the way

I know. Yes Crest is better than KM.
And that’s why you line them up. Next week will tell who is better. If Crest can contain KM run game they can win. KM defense is going to give Crest problems and how they respond or adjust will determine a lot. If Crest can throw the ball like Shelby did on the KM secondary it’s going to be a battle. Both teams are damn good!

Good to see Mari Adams having an impact on the offense. Gives Crest another option on offense and allowed Downs to spend a little more time on defense. Crest lining up with Ruff, Adams, Borders, Lee, and J. Green on offense gives Crest a lot of options.

Carter Green played great from his secondary spot. That young man had an outstanding game on the defensive side of the ball.

Smash you are the most classy poster on this board and I want to tell you congrats on the win.....I was disappointed the Dogs didn't make it more competitive and get the W. Your coach put together one heck of a game plan and the kids executed it well. We both have 2 big ones coming up next week.

Thank you for the kind words. Love Charger football but also Cleveland County football. The future is bright for the Bulldogs. The Fr QB and RB are going to be problems for years to come. You could see that when this group was in middle school. Good luck on the rest of your season.

Somebody is gonna have to explain the logic of all these short kickoffs to me. Surely somebody has enough leg to get em deeper...

You see a lot of coaches doing this if their kicker doesn't have the leg for a touch back. The idea is to pop it up and hopefully get a fair catch around the 30. You would rather see that than usually the teams fastest and best athlete, ex. Crest and Ruff, getting a full head of steam at the 15. Gotta believe that more times than not, that player is going to get a few yards.

Believe I'd be willing to risk that once or twice other than the opponent consistently starting with midfield position.
Have to agree with Burns1985. How many kickoffs inside the 10 are returned for touchdowns? Maybe 1 a season. I can see pooch kickoff in last few minutes of the game with a small lead but otherwise kick it deep and play defense.

Not a good strategy by the Dogs.....i know we got some boys that can hit on special teams,
