Burns @ Kings Mountain

Don’t want to put the Dog and Mountie before the Lion and the Horse but this could be for the county championship. Burns will be looking to avenge a game that got away from them last year at RGS. This will be the first time we play KM at KM since 2017. (Not counting the spring 2021 scrimmage). The 2019 game got moved to GWU because the turf field wasn’t ready yet and then COVID happened and we missed them spring 2021 so we got them at home last year instead of away. (Shelby should’ve had to go to Crest last year

KM got a statement win in Week 1. Burns got a statement win in Week 2. Who gets the statement win in Week 3?
This should be a fantastic game Friday. But its a much bigger hill to climb for Burns than it will be KM. Burns is coming into KM a little banged up after the Crest game.
KM should be favored at home but overlooking Burns any at all isn't a good idea. The Mounties have just as many skill position weapons as Burns does so to me it's which OL and which defense plays the best. Should be a fun one. No prediction from me til Friday

This thread is struggling with such a big game on the line ....I'm gonna go Dogs by 7 against the very SEASONED Mounties.
anyone know why? Hope they can reschedule…we only had three JV home games even with this one….
I haven't seen either team and I don't like to make predictions but just looking at Simmons Ratings and Strength of schedule it's definitely going to be one of the best games in the state Friday Night.

I think the folks in KM have a little bit of caution about this game. The Dogs look as complete as they have looked in a long time. They are big, fast and physical…especially on defense. We know that KM is going to have a fast defensive front. I think our confidence level is where it needs to be and we know KM is where they need to be. It’s going to be a good game and a dog fight. I have to take my dogs in it though. 24-22
On KM coaches show this week, COACH LLOYD said this is one of THE MIGHTY BURNS BULLDOGS strongest team he has seen.
Everytime I've went to KM I've sat in the bleachers but I'd rather sit in my own chair. Is there flat enough ground beside the stands to be able to see good enough?

The secret is getting out about #9 Curtis Simpson. He is legit. And 15 AJ is AJ.
Better team won. Plain and simple. We won't face a defense like that the rest of the year. Honestly, I thought our defense played well. We just couldn't give our QB any time to throw it. Hats off to KM, they've got a good shot to do it this year.
I agree with all your points.... And if they stay healthy they got a real shot... They are relentless on defense, and take what you give em on offense.... Just good in all phases.....
Good luck Burns. You guys will regroup and be fine. This is what I want to know. When a coach prances around at mid field pregame with a championship belt, and then gets beat, why don’t they ever give us the championship belt?

Only thing that beats KM this year is a team with a big and good o-line. Lots of teams have size and no skill. That d line gets after it!
