or any 1-AA team. Anyone else is going to want a home and home. We'd never have 7 home games in a year.

I just prefer to play teams that we can actually count the win for bowl eligibility(I think...). If we won 9 to 10 games a year then it wouldn't matter much, but we are not going to win 9 to 10 games a year, we will do good to win 6 or 7. That's the difference to me. Just saying....

is a 7th home game most years (ideally every year). You can't get to 7 home games consistently without playing a I-AA team. In case you haven't noticed, it's a sellers market for buy games and the Sunbelt teams of the world realize that so they're holding out for $1,000,000 guarantees. That's about what we clear for a home game and if we paid it all out in a guarantee we'd be left with virtually nothing.

Just look at LSU and Ole Miss... How many season ticket holders actually went to school there? 60% ?

Watching us beat the **** out of ANYONE after the years we have suffered through will be a "great" game.
Still one of my favorite games is when we beat Fullerton St. 47-3 in Jackie's first game. That's when I knew things were different now. I still remember thinking, "We used to beat teams like this 20-13."

Under current regulations, in order for this to occur, a team must record at least six wins in the standard 12-game schedule, which may include one win against a Division I FCS scholarship-awarding[1] opponent, and the team must not be on probation.

South Carolina and Clemson have done similar schedules by rotating and playing South Carolina State, Furman, Wofford and Citadel.

I just don't think we gain anything by doing it. I know, I know we get 7 home games but, is that the best we can do for a home/home team. If so, then the only way I buy is if we rotate the other schools in MS. Then the money stays in Mississippi and is spread around the state and then it's a win-win but, that wasn't in the buy/sell. I personally don't have a problem with a home away with NE Louisiana or a home-away with Memphis or other schools close to the state line. Memphis is like a home-home for me so it's like I get 7 home games anyway.

I guess I still say....sell.

Why do you insist on us playing Memphis. We need to play a team our first game in a new system that we can hopefully beat the **** out of. It will be fun watching this new offense hang 50 on JSU. It could also be a big confidence booster. I also agree with the little brother thing. If we show JSU fans a good time, maybe they will pull for us in future games, and maybe come to a couple games to party in the Junction. Huge buy for me.
