Just look at LSU and Ole Miss... How many season ticket holders actually went to school there? 60% ?[b said:dawgstudent[/b]]Sidewalk alumni is what makes your helps your school athletic budget grow.
Still one of my favorite games is when we beat Fullerton St. 47-3 in Jackie's first game. That's when I knew things were different now. I still remember thinking, "We used to beat teams like this 20-13."tossedoff said:Watching us beat the **** out of ANYONE after the years we have suffered through will be a "great" game.
Why do you insist on us playing Memphis. We need to play a team our first game in a new system that we can hopefully beat the **** out of. It will be fun watching this new offense hang 50 on JSU. It could also be a big confidence booster. I also agree with the little brother thing. If we show JSU fans a good time, maybe they will pull for us in future games, and maybe come to a couple games to party in the Junction. Huge buy for me.awalkerdog said:I just don't think we gain anything by doing it. I know, I know we get 7 home games but, is that the best we can do for a home/home team. If so, then the only way I buy is if we rotate the other schools in MS. Then the money stays in Mississippi and is spread around the state and then it's a win-win but, that wasn't in the buy/sell. I personally don't have a problem with a home away with NE Louisiana or a home-away with Memphis or other schools close to the state line. Memphis is like a home-home for me so it's like I get 7 home games anyway.
I guess I still say....sell.</p>
