If Cam had signed with mississippi State would he have been the starter in 2010?

I have always thought that he would have and we may have won the NT in 2010 but after *** kept playing the same players this year when others seemed to be better now I wonder.

How long would Ralph have remained the starter before Cam took over?

BTW with Cam being in the conversation "buy" may be the operative word.

To word this correctly the buy would be that Cam would be the starter at the beginning of the year.

This is the most retarded post I have ever read on this board

That still kills me, Furboy hanging out at Coldstone. Now the deal with making Omarr Conner pack on weight and be a drop back passer, that just angers me.

I am buying......

......that if Cam Newton would have played at State, we would be on probation and Mullen would have a black mark on his coaching career. And I am not sold we would have won or played in the NC.

No question the dude would have started but the NCAA would have been all over us.

I will take Relf, the 9 wins with a Gator Bowl beat down of Michigan and be happy.

Depends on where it all came from. We were the ones that ratted, aren't we? Doubt John Bond or anyone else would have said a word had we been winning (mainly because they were the ones who would have paid him). I have no clue if Slime would have helped us or not had we been 9-0 or whatever, probably not. Auburn fans feel like Alabama fans got wind of the story. I have no doubt had the Ole Miss media got wind, they would have broken the story too.

I was assuming that MSU didn't pay the money, but Cam agreed to sign anyway. If that were the case, then we turn it over to the NCAA, and Cam gets a 1 or 2 game suspension to start the season. That means he would have missed the Memphis game, and maybe the Auburn game. State still could have beaten Auburn, because Auburn would not have had Cam at QB, but its hard to say for sure.

Cam would have started the LSU game, and lost. Don't know how we would have fared against Alabama and Arkansas.

People on this board just don't want to give the Auburn coaching staff enough credit for the national championship season. They would not have won without Cam, but he didn't just hand them an undefeated season. Cam meshed extremely well with Malzahn's offense. Also, think about all those games where Auburn was losing at halftime, the coaching staff made adjustments, and then they came back to win. That wasn't just Cam willing them to victories in those games. I really don't see MSU getting down 24-0 and coming back to beat Alabama. Not a knock on Mullen, I just don't see that EVER happening.

Of course, MSU probably wouldn't have been down 24-0 to begin with if they had Cam at QB.....but the point is you just don't know how all those games would come out.

I would think we wouldn't have turned over anything to the NCAA had we gotten Cam, but with Bracky Brett, you never know. Hell, Brett may not have even known about it. I think it's funny that we can't find who blew the whistle. It sure seems like we did when we didn't get him.

Hard to tell on the Auburn staff, we know Chizik was an idiot, but Malzahn definitely played a big role. He's the difference in 3-9 and 7-5. However Cam was the difference between 7-5 and 12-0.

We absolutely would have turned ourselves in, assuming we didn't pay. John Bond called Byrne about it in December, 2009. Byrne wasn't going to just sit on that information. Sign him, turn it all over to the NCAA, and hope for the best.
