Believe you right. Last year had a three way Championship but still this year alll games are so close. High School football is the best entertainments for the money this time of year.Arguably the most balanced our conference has ever been. Exciting games every week!
Comment belowThere is a little buzz around town saying Lakewood will be small this year. That will make things very interesting on the eastern side.
much congrats too north-duplin for the win over my rosewood eagles last night. hard fought typical cc game. my eagles will travel 7 miles up the railroad tracks too battle our rival princeton high team this coming friday night. should be a good one!
The CC has 2 of the stronger teams in the East and ND will need to play their A game the entire run to keep rolling. But these are teenagers anything can happen and it's why we have playoffs. With new system there's talk of cutoff around 540 which is ridiculous with a split classification. Team playing teams nearly twice their size puts it back where it started. Is ND good enough to make it through the 1A playoff field this season? There's a chance Mount Airy will be in the 1A, and I wouldn't mind seeing one of the teams I used to cover play one of my new ones. I always thought Coach Martin did a great job with that program.
Not much changed for ND, Northside & Lejeune were smallest teams ND played this year, both have 100 more kids than ND, largest being Union with almost 200 more....I don't think 540 will be the cut off thinking more around 500, but never know. by the way, What's up neighbor, lolThe CC has 2 of the stronger teams in the East and ND will need to play their A game the entire run to keep rolling.
