Carolina vs State - DBAP - Thursday, 6pm

Going to be an interesting evening in Durham with Carolina and State scrimmaging. Forbes spoke about it on our interview earlier this week....they'll play to win for sure. But we are going to get a good look at some less proven arms against quality competition and that in itself is big for this coming season.

Also, there will be an autograph session following the game as well......cool evening it should be.

You know that’s going to happen. Forbes just said he was shutting down Ryan and Jason until the spring, so I’m thinking Folger or Walker might start.

They are keeping score and if you listened to Forbes and me last week, don’t expect to see the big Carolina arms. Personally I’d like to see the freshmen other guys that haven’t thrown a ton in this type game - I.e. rivalry (yes I get it’s a scrimmage but it’s state)

Didn't Forbes say in the pod with Tommy that basically ALL of the regular "vets" will be shut down for this one? Sounded like depth guys and young guys getting the work...

He may just be assuming based on how the prior fall DBAP scrimmages were (he mentioned how state and dook used to do it)

UNC won’t throw Decoro, Lynch, McDuffie, and prob even more of the top guys. I’m excited to see some young guys

Scott specifically mentioned DeCaro, Lynch, Johnson and Lawson being shut down in the Walters State postgame interview. He added Padgett In the post-FWS interview. He also said McDuffie had been shut down for the summer to rest, but he obviously pitched in the fall, and Scott didn't mention him as being shut down now. He then made a non-specific comment about "potentially having others shut down, so we could be without 8 of our top 10 pitchers".

Nope. Hering the concession stands will be dark, bathrooms will be locked, etc

This is a professional baseball stadium. Of course there will be concessions. I love the Bosh, but I don't expect them to have concessions for this.

I contacted the director of food and beverage for the stadium. They will have concessions, but it will be limited to their hot dog, BBQ, and chicken stands, which is more than I anticipated, but they will have an assortment of food and drinks available. Please enjoy responsibly.
