Since this is NJ, you know this will take forever.
The FSU running back got a "not guilty" verdict right before the season started. Not too much of a coincidence.
Carroo will probably also not be reinstated, because we all know what type of headlines that will create. The crazy thing about this is the original story said he "slammed" her. We all know that is bogus. Whether or not he laid his hands on her though, well that's something we will find out.

If he touched her, that's simple assault unless he was acting in defense of himself or others. The least touching can be grounds for an assault charge. If the police had believed she was seriously injured, they would have charged aggravated assault.

That hearing for this is on October 6th. His lawyers said there will be updates then and may try to push for his reinstatement at RU based on those.
What a shame. NFL career over before it started. And Ray Rice, too. Learn a lesson guys. Stay away from the ladies while playing football. Never know when some crazed broad will drive you to do something that will ruin you life. And we have all met women who don't know when to let up until we explode.
Yes, I should have said. that. But I have yet to hear anyone suggest that he touched her by accident.
The victim is going to be the most hated ***** at Rutgers. Why is she pressing charges? Because Carroo didn't break up with his girlfriend for her.
I have yet to hear anyone say they saw Carroo touch her in the first place.
a preponderance of blacks on the jury heard a cop say the N word. Case over. Next case.
And just as obviously the police get things wrong all the time. We may never know for sure what really happened. Hopefully the victim turns out to have been confused and Carroo didn't touch the victim. And hopefully there's enough clear evidence of that fact for the prosecutor to drop the charges.
Oh, sure, the police are wrong sometimes -- although you wouldn't believe it looking at some of what is posted on these boards on other topics related to the police. We'll have to see what the facts are. In the meantime, let's not make up fantasies like "he touched her by accident" in the absence of any known supporting facts.

That is a bunch of BS. Carroo will be in the pros, no doubt about it. He will not go as high as before this incident but he will go. They will not draft him because of simple assault, if he is found guilty.
I guess we'll find out if that's true, too. I would be a little surprised if the police had arrested him purely on her say-so, but we'll have to see. There's a lot more smoke than fire right now.
